What's the team for today? Would Carroll be able to bully the Norwich defence? Or is Sakho a nailed on start? Has Kayoute recovered enough to start? Have we sorted out a way to play better at home yet?

Looking forward to a good game, but do not agree with those saying we should thrash Norwich: they're on a good run and will be confident they can get something at The Boleyn. Get the first goal and we will win, if they score first it might be tough. COYI!!!!!!!

Sakho to start, but I would like to see what service Payet can give Carroll though,i was hoping they would have both been on the field together v foxes

I have predicted a thrashing Bully, but you might be right and only time will tell, eh.

Carroll has to be an impact sub as per the poll. Hoping Kouyate is fit enough to start

Boys who play will be a bit buggered from a lot of game time this past week, but I'm confident #SuperSlav will pick the right team for the job. Hat full of goals with none in Adrian's net...

#COYI

Its really strange. Last season we just hoped for a win, or even a draw, but today we play Norwich and the expectation is sky high for a win! fingers crossed, good luck to the Bhoys and super Slav this afternoon...Come on you Irons!!!!!

We seldom do well against sides we are 'meant' to beat! Hope the home crowd really get behind our boys, cus as Sam said in the week, teams can lose their confidence at home if the crowd gets on their backs.

I agree with you regarding thrashing Norwich bully, I don't think there will be many thrashings in the Premership this season as apart from Man City nobody looks capable of ripping teams apart, our home form still needs to improve so a positive result will be a good result today, don't care if it's 1-0. Regarding Carroll I really don't see him as a starter at the moment, I didn't catch much of the midweek game against Leicester, did Carroll look any good?

I didn't catch any of the game sadly, my internet crapped out and I couldn't even get the result until the next morning, but hear Carroll looked pretty rusty, not surprisingly really. I also voted to use Carroll as an impact sub, and let's face it, he has to go months without getting injured before we can even think about making him an important player in Slav's thinking. So yeah, I would use him last 20 minutes in this game especially if we were struggling to score.

It was a strange game on Tuesday. We controlled the tempo and possession but seemed to fall into the Arsenal trap of trying too much and just not working the keeper.
Collins was always one slip from being caught out. Moses looked knackered from the start and we rarely fed him the ball. Hopefully it's just a match fitness issue, but Antonio may be pushing for a start today.
I can't quite make my mind up on Lanzini yet. Lots of ability and can drift past people, but he sometimes seemed confused on where he should be and someone's going to go in hard on him soon so his reaction will be interesting.
Payet seems key already and until Song is back I think much will go through him.
Sakho has to start today. Carroll half and hour for me.

Agree with nearly all of that, Darren. Lanzini has done really well from what I've seen, and made fools of those who suggested he was too lightweight. I too would start Antonio, he should know this lots game: he beat them with a last minute goal last season! :-))

This wont be an easy game today, they have a good young manager,im hopefull for a win,but there is a certain amount of expectation against the so called "lesser sides".If we dont get off the blocks fast the upton park faithfull may get frustrated which is never a good sign...but hey COYI!

You're right H65, the recent good away results brings another level of expectation at home against the so called lesser sides, we need a good start
