No not the performance which was bad enough, the atmosphere!!I've been shot down a few times for daring to say that this place will never be westham.i havnt been for a year but I thought the spuds in the cup midweek a no brainer!!it was fu*king terrible from the kick off all you could here was the spuds.any one who thinks this place is the way forward is totally deluded.westham R.I.P

So we had our shorts pulled down on and of the pitch mate, also heard a few spuds got in the west ham end cheering, proper piss take.

I agree with everything you have said.I am totally gutted. That win against the Mancs was a fluke. We are awful.I have been writing on here, that we have the structure of a good team, but I think ive been kidding myself. We may come up to the mark on certain games, and those certain games should be for the likes of spurs etc,but that didn't happen, losing to them twice in ten days,is too much to take, its a disgrace.I think when we do play well it is when the players feel they will have a go,not that they have commitment to the club and fans, like they should, and give their all week in week out.I have also been kidding myself about that Anderson bloke,he is not worth 45 mill,he is crap, surely im not the only one that thinks this.I left at half time last night, the writing was on the wall from the kick off.I would not be at all surprised if we lose Saturday.WE HAVE ALL BEEN KIDDING OUR SELVES SINCE THE MAN U WIN.

Every game I've been to I've been surrounded by so called westham fans who might as well be watching a game of chess!!this was against Tottenham ffs & when you get up & show a bit of passion your either dug out by other fans for standing for 10 seconds or threatened by the "stewards" that anymore & you will be chucked out!! The L.S rocks don't make me laugh!!

And unlike me you took a chance went and saw for yourself only to have your initial thoughts proved right....I do not care what others say it is there opinion and they are entitled to it like you and me but try as the club might you cannot get passed the fact that it is an athletics stadium and always will be...and it will only get worse because as much as we dislike those spuds they will be back in there own ground which is a Football Stadium Arsenal built from scratch a Football stadium chelski Abramovich or not are going to upgrade Stamford bridge again and its will be a Football stadium...now we all no that our beloved! board got into this thinking/knowing long term that they expect to get the soulless bowl on the cheap but then they will have to get the finance in too demolish it and build a proper Football stadium but in my lifetime or theres mmm I very much doubt it...so if you are happy with our new home good on you but those of us who are not do not abuse us accuse us of being stuck in the past because we understand the reasoning behind the move and had we moved into a purpose built Football stadium you would not have the angst that is rife amongst the supporters.....But what is done is done and no going back..and again I applaud you Hammer65 for trying it out in the flesh which is something I am afraid I never will do..west ham away now is my home when I get the tickets but for that place we laughingly call home well this supporter never will set one foot inside.

Don't think you were on ur own mac with the ground emptying at a very rapid rate which don't help the players confidence and you went to see WHU at a bad time when we have 9players out and 1 suspended that's- nearly complete team and we ain't talking about fringe players Lanzini, Yarmalenko Whiltshire Reid, I ain't going to name them all , but even if you were 1 of the top 6 sides, your results must be affected, but every cloud has a silver lining and we would not have discovered Grady Diangana who is defo gonna become a big asset to us. I've suffered watching hammers For Over 50years and this injury curse ain't new, I don't care if we ended up in Charlton's position, I'd still watch 'em, West ham till I die, everybody has their own view so I won't see you all at the Burnley match then, Shame!

Its the stadium & surroundings that will never be classed as home imo,i predict in a few years time all the real westham support will only go to away games...Dont matter how much a person is affiliated to a football club, once its gone its gone...
I should have mentioned the Carpenters arms,on the estate that hasnt been touched by the developers YET!!
A proper westham pub,if theres ever a next time ill just stay in there all night!!

I really feel for you 65. You are clearly a true Hammer and I dont think anything I can say will change your mind about the stadium. I wasn't there yesterday so cant really comment on the atmosphere. I have been going regularly since the first game V Juve. The only rare time when the atmosphere was good was when we were winning. I dont believe that more supporters (bigger capacity) are going along to see us lose but.... losing is a nasty habit at the Bowl of Misery. The last year at UP was pretty unique and its that season that most folk compare to the move to the LS. I think this is not a fair comparison. I have supported West Ham all my life and next year I'm 60, I have also memories at UP when it was pretty quiet and pretty miserable. The situation will not improve until the team and manager are consistent. The sad fact is 65 that the Boleyn is gone, there is no going back. West Ham are my club and I will continue to follow them through thin and thin :o) Keep the faith buddy...COYI's!!!!!

I actually thought the L.S was turning a corner, especially the man u game where the atmosphere was apparently very good.I stated at the time i could hack this place if i could feel the passion of the crowd, something i was brought up on at uppers...win lose or draw. The spuds are probably our biggest rivals now & to witness that last night hits home more than ever that for me our club will never be the same again...dramatic?maybe but im done with it,but good luck to anyone who can endure the situation we are in

It's bleedin heartbreaking 65 ,what's all this abuse if you stand up ?the stewards tell you to sit-down ??? ,I've haven't been yet and I don't think I will , maybe it's for the youngsters mate though I feel sorry for them , inheriting a concrete monstrosity,
On another note I really feel we would be in deep doodaa if it wasn't for young Rice in all the matches on tv lately I literally have yet to see him put a foot wrong ,what a prospect he really is

All the pundits saying shit about his contract stirring it up saying there wont be a club in the prem who would not give the lad what he wants only Owen Hargreaves stepped in and said he needs to forget about moving now and just play because he's that good the move will happen in 2/3 years....now they are mentioning about Diopp ot P.S.G. and Moanrino sniffing about...also wanting Arnie mmmm only another month to go before the transfer window opens lol what fun.

Though my son feels the same as me.You hear in the media about there was a bit of aggro with the spurs fans, but i witness more tension in the stands between westham fans, who either sit there bored sh*tless & ones who want to show a bit of passion.the whole set up is wrong & thats down to this bloody board who are only interested in selling tickets!!

Could not wait to get out of the stadio olympico and move back into a purpose built football ground.....fans too far from the pitch atmosphere was poor because it got lost in the vastness of the stadium running track round the pitch...sound familiar?..as I said I don't doubt long term the two daves expect to get the stadium for a paltry amount(when khans lost his job)then it has to be demolished and a proper proper ground built for a west ham fan to be proud of but who and how they would finance that is beyond me...but not what we have now with fans fighting amongst themselves football tourists getting season tickets on the cheap and not forgetting the longest trek to and from a ground week in week out....as I have mentioned I have not and will not set foot in that place and that is my choice and I would not argue with anyone who goes and likes the place its every fans personal choice but after hearing from hammer65 and his story along with others I have heard from friends of rival teams who have been it is as far from being a football ground as you could want.

If & i do actually think it will happen, this board get the L.S,will they demolish it & build a football stadium??Cant see it myself,i reckon they will make minor changes & keep telling everyone how great this stadium already is!!
