payet sold for 25 mill

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sun, 29/01/2017 - 11:39

got rid of the dead beat.

What a crap deal, the driscoll have folded,so much for the big words in the match day program! Bet they are crap at poker or chicken. They have just been mugged off and humiliated in the eyes of the football world! I hope they have had the good sense in insisting he hands in a transfer request first and returns his loyalty bonus, not to mention a 25 per cent sell on clause. Sorry marseille, you want me to bend over? You don't have any lube? Ok that sounds just what I'd like.

£25m + £5m in add-ons, for me a good deal better than squandering £500k per month for non productivity and paving the way for a more settled squad, had he stayed until the August transfer window he would have cost us £3m in wages alone. Good business done by the Davids as we recoup more than twice as much as we paid.

Add ons mean nothing if they never come to fruition! After all we don't know if it's true or indeed what they are. The board rated him a few months ago at 50 m but when push comes to shove they take half that! He was rated as one of the best players in Europe and we sold him for peanuts just because he gets a strop on. Well now people and other clubs know what we really are all about. And to have the Gaul to announce the fee on the main site like they were proud off it! Unbelievable for me this signals the end of any hope of believing this 2 idiots. Small time trying to play big time. Hopefully it's the start of the end of these inadequates. Up until this season I have always backed them but now they have lost me on all fronts.

Players, houses, cars whatever are only worth what someone will pay end of. The higher the value the less buyers only a numpty would think differently

i think...yes they wanted more but with bilic and the players apparently as well wanting him gone the pressure was on to do some kind of deal so I reckon they did a good job getting it to £25million...anyway he has gone we move on with players who want to wear the shirt.COYI

This bugs me how people are happy to sell our players cheap and yet happy to be over charged for players too! The amount of people happy to take 25 for Payet and yet think bacca, batman or lacazette are worth 35million bids. Im not accusing anyone on here necessarily but I've seen loads of it. We always get less for our players than their worth but think it's ok.

is ok with it but this was always going to be the outcome....if bilic and the players had not taken the stand that they are reported to of done then maybe the chairman would of held fast until the summer.

How anyone can say this isn't the right deal is beyond me. Whilst I don't agree 100% with the direction that the owners are taking, I won't slate them for everything they do just for the sake of it.
A fortune off the wage bill and a profit on the transfer fee. So what's the problem?

Glad he is gone and 25 million will do for me. Now we can get on with the rest of our season with players that want to play for the team.

I would probably have Neville on here telling me to mind my language if I said what I truely thought of this French Judas. He has left a bitter taste in all our mouths. The only good thing to come out of this is the team have been brought together a lot stronger now he has gone and good riddance to perhaps the nastiest piece of work we have ever had at our club!

A D Bonds

For me bilic and the team have so far been the plus point for me, Marseille, Payet, his agent and the Driscolls have been destroyed my interest in the game. It's coming to something in this day and age where it's the players holding the high morality. The rest stinks. Anyone happy with 25, should ask themselves are the happy being lied to by sulli saying we didn't need to sell? Also are they happy being lied to by sulli saying we won't sell in the club program? Are we happy with wanting 35 but excepting only 25 after "being insulted by a derisory bid of not much less! I think we have gota stop being manipulated by the crap they talk. Tigers a 10 million deficit. That's a free snodgrass! Why not ask for another player? Small time businessmen. Driscolls out!

What they fail to mention is the fact that he will earn at least 10% of the £25-30m! Let's hope the £1m payment is paid back for being 'unloyal', whole affair is bollox abd all that is bad about what was 'the beautiful game'

It does leave a nasty taste but I would rather take the £25m and get rid , I did hear from another Hammer that the "clause" was a stumbling block and was dropped (don't know how true that is though) but rather get him away now for more than twice what we paid rather than a further £3m in wages for him to sit around , get fat, be unfit and have to offload in August for less than what we paid which was always a possibility. Personally glad he's gone and think the Daves have called this right.

There a lot that stinks about this whole situation all round, our opinions or conclusions are just that. We can't now know for definate what would have happened in the summer. Don't get me wrong I'm glad he is gone and he was never my favourite player anyway. I understand why people adored him but that wasn't me, (I've always been a big mick fan). For me I've just had too much from this board. It not about the Payet incident alone. We all know what they are like when it comes to transfers. Broken promises, lies, lack of investment. Personally Sullivan and Brady are dragging this club into the gutter the way they behave with this club. They are supposed to be fans but they don't get the club at all or what's it all about. That's what really get my back up, being manipulated treated like a fool and being lied to like we are idiots. For me this is the straw that has broken the camels back for me. I've been a fan since 1970 and now think things have gotta change with sulli's attitude or sell up. I don't care if we get relegated I just don't want to be part of sullivans bullsh1t. I'm coming to the conclusion they will do anything for the money and very little for the good of the club or fans. Whatever it is Sullivan and Brady are not the real deal.

You don't care if "we" get relegated? You know why because you have no skin in the game. When you decided to support West Ham it was probably quite kitsch, now it's a ball ache you don't wanna know? How can anyone respect anything you say?

Betty, think you got the wrong end of the stick. What I meant was I'd still be a fan if we were in a lower division. I'm not a fan for our status I'm a fan for the football and values the club had. As for kitch, yeah right. If you want to be absurd then that's your right. Are you saying I've never had bal ache with West Ham since 1970? Think that makes you sound like you know nothing about our history. As for respect for anything I say, is it important to you that people on the internet respect what you say? For me it's nice but really has no importance at all, but crack on.

I like to look at it this way,we got him for 10 mil,and sold him back to the same club, for 25mil,that we still owed money to for that sale 18 months ago, now if I was a marselle fan i'd be thinking,f*ck me we've just took back,a player not only 2 years older, but west ham have made a huge profite from us in the meantime..
