So we seem to have a made a few decent signings and we still need a 2/3 more but, how have the other clubs faired and who would you have liked us to have gone for and why?
Me for starters:
Trippier - Right back cover and long term replacement for Jenkinson, and bargain at £3.5m.
Gestede - £6m after scoring 22/23 goals in the chumps seems a steal to me and 'extended' cover for Carroll.....
Bunn - A good understudy goalkeeper with premiership experience and not expensive. Randolph looks terrible to me and I dread him appearing this season.

The trouble is ANTKB, as I'm sure you know all too well, keeping up with the HORDES of players we have been linked with is a full-time job. To be honest it's made me dizzy. So I really can't care about who we might have got... there are simply too many of 'em! :-)
I've got to the point where I now just want to see a Downing replacement, and another striker. If they are both good quality players -- I don't care who they are -- and I'll think of it as another very good window. If we can also bring in Halilovic and re-sign Song I'll be delighted, and if we bring in a good right back I'll be blowing bubbles out my arse!!
There's still 4 weeks of the window left, so plenty of time. I hope...

We have already missed out on a few bargains, Trippear annoys me most as I pointed out how well he played against us and yet 'why didn't our scouts not see it'? I should change jobs me thinks.....
Some misses
Gestede for 6m would have been good back up. Even Lambert for a year would have served a purpose for 3million. No way 12m for Rhodes. Wickham probably not good enough. I just hope we won't miss out on Austin. Palace looked to have done some reasonable deals. Why are we faffing about?

Micah Richards, Edin Dzeko, Yohan Cabaye... How can Stoke pluck the likes of Shaqiri, Bojan into their side?? Don't tell me they lured them with the promise of playing attractive attacking football! I hate Mourinho but he mentioned how Bournemouth signed Max Gradel - a player who could probalby play for Chelsea. We got Payet who looks like a top player but where's the rest??

I hear we have been asked if we want Berbatov but I have also read that we want Borinio which would be a disaster! He's nowhere near good enough and has proven the case so why would we want him? Berbatov yes for me.
