Ray Parlour suggests that while west ham fans should not get ahead of themselves, the club could be ripe for a huge investment. My first thoughts were for the two David's. They have risked a lot of personal wealth and have done a good job at securing west hams future. If they make a bob or two should a big investor come in, I say good luck to them. They are not getting any younger, why have the stress at their age? I have a lot more to say but with my 11 year old in the keys camping and on my I phone so not easy to write a whole bunch- thoughts!

Would be good if big investment came in provided we don't turn into Man City and look to change managers every other year. Also having young Jack off the Twitter feeds would be a bonus.

It's been a long time since I was psyched about the start of a season. Can't wait. I know we are linked with every player out there but no smoke without fire. Ps I'd like Jack off too !! Ooohh misses!! Agreed about manager. We need to be careful not to get an owner like QPR without the stomach or will for a consistsnt European spot, and just wants a PL play thing. Whatever happens I think we will be hard pressed to get owners with the love of west ham as we do now. The David's I remember got a lot of criticism for how their money was earned but I was never judgmental about that.

Agree, but every now and then the bloke that owns Westfield's name crops up (can't be a*sed googling it) I am sure someone will want Stadium naming rights (maybe already agreed but not publicised) a lot of avenues and it seems Ms (Baroness) Brady is the financial wizz with her finger on the pulse so we shall see. I would hate to have a Sheik or an Oligarch at the helm or we could end up more plastic than Barbie.

To properly compete with the top 4 we would need investment far beyond the two Daves. It will probably happen one day, but I agree with what you say: I've never believed the cynics who think they are just after a killing. Once we are in the new stadium we'll probably start attracting some envious looks, I just hope we don't lose our identity, I'd rather we stayed poor.

I think Sugo will sit back for a while and reap the rewards of the OS before even thinking of handing over the reins after all the work put in to get there,I know i would, and i'll have a big banner with a massive smile with up yours Levy and you Hearn LOL,But when the time comes for huge investment we must be extra careful don't want any blown up Hitlers E.g.Vincent Tan Cardiff City or Assem Allam Hull City that will be my worry!

I think with the owners we've
I think with the owners we've got, they would not look to offload the club to any Tom, Dick or Harry but ensure that the potential owners have the best interests of the club at heart too.
Parlour seems a decent bloke
He never gets above his station and hangs out with his local mates, saw him last Friday lunchtime at the Rose Pub in Shenfield and met him lots of times with people that know him well. For someone that played with and against some of the best players of the past 20 years, I think he is a good bloke as I have met others in his position that just crave attention and are total dickheads!
