Relegation dogfight

For once I think its safe to say we will not be involved in it but looking at the table as it is if the bottom 3 stay as they are(I no villa are nailed on to go down)what would it mean for the premier league and the championship? 3 massive clubs relegated and into a championship where nothing is taken for granted other than getting out of it is extremely difficult....and for the premier league to lose clubs like that will it make the league weaker or just prove regardless of history/reputations nobody is guaranteed a place at the big table. middlesborough look about the most consistent team in the championship and I think will come up after that everyone else seems to be blowing hot and cold...derby/hull may challenge for the final automatic place and then the play offs and I would think Ipswich with old mick McCarthy may be the surprise package there so villa/sunderland/Newcastle down boro/derby or hull/Ipswich promoted would that be a fair exchange? and would you be sorry to see the back of villa&co or are you a traditionalist and prefer the smaller clubs to have there moment in the sun before crashing and burning back down the leagues?

Have been flirting with relegation for a few seasons now.Its their time to suffer the fate of the chumps!!Going to be tight for the next place, geordies, swansea or possibly west brom...For me watford , bournemouth & norwich have earnt their right to have another season in the prem at least!Weve been in the chumps & got straight back up (yes thanks sam!!) so for me its the survival of the fittest!!

Constant lack of investment from villa and Sunderland has kept the decline of both clubs for quite a few seasons now. There is no doubt both will drop at some point probably this season. Despite Us Failing to beat both they are so poor that when they do go neither will bounce right back and I'd predict at least one could drop again! Newcastle would be my other prediction fans feel to much entitlement and whoever does their transfer dealing should have been sacked years ago. Oh of course they have a poor manager too.

I think when you flirt with relegation so often, once it finally happens getting back up is even harder than ever. Coventry and Forest are testament to that and if/when Villa finally crash through the trapdoor they will struggle to get back, same with Sunderland. Out of the others you mentioned I reckon they'd be a good shout to come straight back up with a couple of proven Championship journeymen.

It is survival of the fittest, and Villa have not been even trying to better their position. They've been selling and hoping to be carried by untested young players -- sort of a poor man's Arsenal. Even our chairmen know that if you flirt with disaster too many times it will come and live with you. I'm so proud of the Davids for spending to keep us up, and for being ambitious to move us up the table. There's a huge market from East London all the way to Southend all waiting for a Premier League team to identify with. SUGO will capitalise on that. But look what's happened in Midlands and the Northeast. Very sad. I do think it's going to be one helluva dogfight at the bottom this season, and VERY glad we won't be in it!!! COYI.

Lived my whole life in those areas i reckon at least 80% of all the people ive met in my life are hammers!!What the O.S will achieve is even more westham support from a global market....the scousers & mancs will be calling each other "glory hunters" when they decide to support westham!!;)

There is a huge hammers support here in Suffolk too, that's why when we score at Portman road half the home stand cheers as well!
