Short term solutions, if any?

Its not a quick fix but we really miss a good spine / heart of the team. Some call it a "Core". The likes of Leicester, Burnley and Bournemouth have it in bucket loads. What I mean by that is a group of players that know each other and play for each other. Previously I would have added Watford but this season they also have something lacking.

I put our troubles down to a constant change all over the club. The last three years have seen nothing but change. Starting with the obvious move from UP, managers, players, backroom staff etc etc. We have no heart / spirit but absolutely no consistency. Players brought in have never IMO matched what left. Obvious is Snoddy with Payet or Haller with Arnie. But lots of others. We seem to have lost some of the backbone unsung players like Cheikhou Kouyaté, Pedro Obiang and even James Tomkins and... at a push Adrian. I think this is down to the merry go round of managers and the owners who think the best way to pacify the fans is with marque overseas signings when maybe a few local hard working pro's is the answer for a club like ours? I also think our academy has totally dried up particularly when you compare to Chelsea and Im not even referring to the kids in the first team but to all the kids they have out on loan that are settling the football world a lite.

Short term we need some sort of result but must have confidence. I would start with Rice moving back to Centre back and just sealing up the gaps. Martin in goal, I think he is also poor but still better than Roberto.

Or... Pray for a miracle that Antonio and Lukasz Fabianski make a quick return?

As i put in a previous post, lets not forget Wolves they were on fire yesterday,if they play like that in a few weeks when we go there they will make us look like a pub team. They were happy as a team and played like it,i dont think the dressing room at Stratford is a very happy place,no team work just individuals.I think you can try whatever formation you like,i dont think the spirit is there, and as for the academy, you might aswell use that for grazing land for donkeys.

Spot on Essex, no team just individuals and who's fault is that? For me its the owners with a revolving door mentality and a clueless manager!

Was having the same conversation with my son at work today.look at the likes of Burnley,Sheffield utd etc they have unsung, hard working players that play as a team.that is what is lacking now at our club.this board pay big money for foreign players that have no interest in the history of the club, sully & gold get everyone of them to do the crossed hammers at their introduction to make out they bleed claret & blue, its all a bloody gimmick that is tiresome,I chose a while back to not go anymore while these clowns are in charge

Yep, Carlos Kickabouts with crossed arms and kiss the badge .. complete b*****ks !

Are big problem is we sit in the middle ground or no mans land. We are neither a big or a small club. History, massive loyal support and even some money being in the top twenty richest global clubs. But heres the but... we are still only the 4th biggest club in our own city, zero chance of qualification for Champions league or even The Europa and hence only attract the second tier foreign player. I would love it if someone in real authority at the BoM would just except that and cut the cloth accordingly!

John Lyall was our manager for fifteen years bless him,we wont see the likes of that again,we had our bad times, but won the FA Cup twice in five years,we havent won fack all since.......The big ground, high profile manager, stacks more revenue, two chairmen and a baroness thrown in,sum total of nothing acheived.

As you put burkie, those teams mentioned, work as a team and get on,i feel there is not much friendship in the dressing room, coming out on the pitch as individuals,as you say 4th to one point off bottom three in such a small time, something has definitely gone wrong
