Smiling and having a laugh after a defeat?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sun, 14/04/2019 - 18:38

I'm referring to Hazard. His side lost to one of their rivals, was he bothered? Apparently not. There he was laughing and joking, patting Liverpool players on the back.

Is it me or is this a sign of the times?

Your star player couldn't care less if you win or lose. I know the whistle gone, but what happened to players who would pound the turf, kick the ball into the stands in anger after such a loss?

Did the same monday night coming off at HT Hazard laughing and joking with Arnie i have no doubt it was the challenge and penalty that was not given the reason for there jokey aside as they walked off the pitch...And Players in the tunnel chatting to each other shaking hands having a laugh...mmm to me before the game you should be focused on one thing and one thing only your team your performance and getting a result....have a chat after the match fine but during it no quarter should be given

Too many foreigners, they don't have the heart in the club they play for, coming from the other side of the world, they wouldn't have any thought of the area or interest, its just a very lucrative job for them.

Come on - not that old chestnut! Plenty of homegrown players who take the biscuit - Carroll, Wilshere, Morrisson, Dyer, Oxford - they've all had a holiday om west ham united. The real issue is the money pure and simple - its corrupting the game

In my pure naivety I genuinely believe that the majority of footballers would prefer to play than be sidelined with an injury

Look at Carroll though and the frequency and ludicrous injuries he has sustained - you think all of them are down to bad luck? What about the partying and drinking? Wilshere - getting caught smoking? You can't do these things as a footballer in the top tier of todays game. You need to be fitter than ever to compete and avoid damaging yourself from the rigours of the sport - they know this and yet still think they can get away with it

I think the crazy life style is also down to the mind set of being told from a very young age how marvellous they are and think the are invincible.

That most players probably don't want to be sidelined but when they sign that lucrative contract they can do what they want in their spare time.i reckon they should have pay as you play contracts, but thats not gonna happen in today's money mad prem!!
