Stoke what to do

So after a couple of fine displays by us against two of our local rivals what are we going to do against stoke? certainly it is as big a game as the last two maybe even more so as they are down and around us...for sure we cannot afford to lose this game but i wonder how much those last games have taken out of the players....with not to much depth to play with i do think moyes needs to tweak the side a little purely on the fitness side not anything to do with player performances...i am pretty sure the shape will stay the same and with the stoke side being under a lot of pressure themselves getting the right personnel out on the pitch is going to be essential for us to get the win we are capable of....Elbows played well the last couple of matches but you saw last night for a few seconds he wanted to make something out of nothing with the young arsenal defender fortunately he snapped out of it quickly but he is going to have to be careful going up against his old side and no doubt the home crowd winding him up and moyes is going to have to be all over that and get home to him the best way to react is to play the game and win...not sure if moyes would start chicarito from the start as i doubt he will track back like Antonio and elbows have been doing in the last few matches and carroll is certainly not one to be starting....it will be interesting to see how moyes is going to go about this game but going back just a few weeks i think we are all a lot more optomistic now.

I would have Elbows on the bench, he left Stoke under a cloud and their fans will give him pelters. Bring him on with 15 on the clock. I would stick to the Moyes / Allardyce formulation, park the bus and hit them on the break but push the midfield line a tad higher than the Chelsea Arsenal game. Start with both Ayew and Little Pea, both have pace that will make Shawcross etc look pedestrian :o)

This is a proper squeaky bum game, more nervous now than before, We need to turn up against the teams around us, it's all well and good playing well against the so -called top teams, but this is where we must get our rewards, who's gonna be marking crouch,do we have a cheery picker handy, lol

Crouch the lanky git is always a handfull...this will be a tough game at their place, they are fighting for their lives, but in moyesy we trust (blimey i wouldnt have said that a few weeks ago) & the pressure will all be on hughesys mob!!

you have to give him and his back room boys credit, I for one was not looking forward to him coming, felt better when SP came along with him, but hay, what a performance. could not fault any of them. OK some were not as good as last time out but they are only human. For me Ogbonna was MOTM and he never looked like given away a penalty, SP must have got hold of him. Over all we had better chances than them and could have come away with all 3 points. As everyone one has pointed out we need another on Saturday

I think the team is playing so much better than before and we have to keep this up until we are dead!

See that we will be without Winston Reed so what should we do?? Fetch in Declan rice or even Koyate put Noble in the back4 and bring Fernandez into midfield Gonna be a real melon scratcher while our defence has played this last 3 games what do you lot think Moyes will do with this problem

seems like a nice guy...loved his answer when asked if he was not a pro footballer what would he be? a virgin he said lol...still I think we will be confident and I see a sneaky second half winner from chicarito getting us the points

You could see how disappointed Chicharito was at just missing the winner. So close! He'll be fired up to score, there's no doubt about that.

Yep glad to see people realise this is a big one as big as the others. A win can catapult us out. Also right to worry how much we have in the tank. I expect Moyes to play the first 20 mins the same way, so Stoke don't get the crowd behind them. Then we have to look at doing more going forward. If ginge is ready then he should play IMO. He eats crouch for breakfast. I'd risk arnie and keep a close eye on his attitude, he is just as likely to get sent off in this one or show the Stoke faithful what they are missing. Play him but spell it out to him in no uncertain terms. I expect more or less the same team just maybe 2 enforced or tactical changes. Be interesting to see how Moyes calls it. ATM sitting back has been the right thing but against lesser sides Moyes has to come up with away of getting a good balance defensively and attackingly

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes: "I don't do relegation. I've never been relegated because I'm too busy trying to get in top 10s."I've never been near it so I'm not going to start now, am I?
