Well we certainly have a manager who understands how to manage a team through injuries and in game decisions....and if we are to lose Arnie for a game or two then rather now when we will not be facing the best opposition....when Arnie pulled up last night with what maybe a slight hamstring pull how many times have managers kept players on just to see if its something they can get through only for them to tear it properly and out for months....not El Pel off you come son thinking long term not short term and how easy would it of been to put Carroll on but nope Perez came on and took his chances and that will be a boost to his confidence...3-0 game won off comes chicaritto for carroll and snodgrass who was playing well for Diagana this shows he is thinking of Saturdays game against Palace and giving players time on the pitch and others off for a rest....Wheelchair not on the bench again El Pel not going to risk throwing in him straight away but easing him back in....this is an important part of management and one he clearly knows how too do....things are changing at west ham and the revolution is slowly taking shape.COYI

Mac I'm not sure Arnies substitution saved him as much as you say. Pell has been walking a tightrope with him for a while now so it was only a matter of time before he broke down. I do however totally agree about him knowing about how to manage a team properly. For me he manages the team quite intelligently. He isn't a one trick pony like, bilic, allardyce, and Moyes. It's impressive what he has done with snodgrass, rice and diangana. I can't feel more satisfied about how snodgrass has turned this around.ultimately it's 100% down down to his attitude, but pell understands him more IMO. Now looks a snip at 10 mill

Arnie has been suffering from all season was by all accounts manageable and one you had to play through as the bruise painful as it probably was was not an injury that would cause any kind of damage but last night it def looked like a hammy that tightened up or he pulled slightly so no risk taken off he came but in saying that i did notice he had some strapping there already so i hope that was just a precaution on his side as i did not see him having that on at newcastle at the weekend

Mac I have no choice to bow to your superior injury knowledge. When I used to play I'd appear if my legs could move but not if they couldn't. So have no idea on time limits etc unless you mean breaks!

West ham fans no a proper injury when we see one!! but the bruised knee Arnie been playing with has been well documented as an injury you can play through as there is little the medical team or physios can do about it

Up to now ive had my reservations about how good pell is,but to be fair to him hes making the right decisions at the right time & to get the best out of snoddy & now hopefully perez is a master stroke.so good for him i say

No manager worth his salt want to get over reliant on one player ,we showed last night Arnie can be done without ,on Snoddy he's got to do a little bit more for me ,some of his passing leaves a lot to be desired ,he's getting there though ,think Ant did ever so well last night

I don't want to confirm pelle is the new messiah yet in fact he isn't even a very naughty boy, but I'd rather believe HE could make Antonio a proper wing back rather than bilic. As for snods, he has some world class crosses in his locker! When was the last time we had a player who delivered crosses like his. I'd even doubt payet had a cross as good. One thing pell has taught we ALL need to be more patient with things. I bet when we lose to palace fans will slag off certain players. Real truth is pelle won't have the real squad he wants for about another 18 months
