Transfer Strategy

Worried about the rumour surrounding Diop and the spuds after reading the following.
'West Ham are keen on signing Spanish central defender Unai Nunez, 22, from Athletic Bilbao'.My question is why?if we are going to have to get rid of a central defender then surely we have to be looking at moving on Reid/Balbuena as harsh as it sounds they are a lot older and one still to be tested after a long term injury,if we did sell Diop even for £50million i would be pissed off as it smacks of Bilic balls up when he sold Tomkins to Palace.Look at the problems we are now seeing at Right back as a fan we were all aware that Zabaletta needed replacing again simply because age in this sport has caught up with him but here we are scratching around to get a replacement for him,Now you hear that El Pel whats another winger errr why? we have enough players who can play wide throughout the squad and why the hell does he not accept that Masuaku is a shit defender but out wide up the pitch he looks decent and can put a good cross in but again because as a club and a transfer strategy that is way out off kilt we never seem to address what we need it just seems a scatter gun approach and if its a name that catches the boards eye and one they can sell to the fans then who cares if its a position we have plenty of competition for.

Thats about right Dicksy...10 yrs they have been at the club and during all that time, only one transfer window have they really dug deep, just once!!! under Pellegrini.Thats all blown up in their face and now the board are no closer from achieving their objectives from when they first took over.....Gold ,Sullivan and Brady they are all in it for the money ,to make a huge profit when they come to sell the club in 2023,they are parasites that are holding back this club from progressing, and the fans have to tolerate their club being run as some small town back street business doing things on the cheap. How many more millions do they want ,they are all multi-millionaires,it's like a drug to them, the greedy bastards. Why don't they just listen to the fans sell up and f..off

Spot on, Greed and Power, its a drug and Suli has already said he will pass on the reigns to Jack the Lad :o(

My soppy prediction is that they will get the BoM for a knock down price, spend a bit on coverting to a footie stadium and the value of WH rockets well above the £1B mark. However, the one problem with that situation is Prem League Footie is a must and hence the Porn Dwarfs have acted now with El Pel!

Hammergirl ,the board are looking to make a profit on Diop, their business brains kicking in again, sell him for £50m and get 2 decent players for the price of one from his sale.Everything they do is business first ,club second,.They want success for the club but it won't come at cost tto them. You can forget about champions league football, that is a pipe dream with their mentality of running a football club. That first window under Pellegrini they splashed the cash ,but the fruits of that are clear for all to see,Westham are a team in meltdown,Pellegrini has lost the plot and as far as Gold and Sullivan are concerned it's two fingers up at the fans ,we done our bit.Don't expect to see any more big spends with this board. As it is they can't get the £40m they were planning to receive from the club in January for loans lent, they need to put in place a rescue plan this Jan window ,for a new manager or new players or both to save the club from relegation, that would be a disaster for them financially.
Back to your point Hammergirl ,i agree, giving Zabaletta another year contract was a poor decision, whoever sanctioned that needs to be shot.Agree with your thoughts on Masuaku, and Pellegrini's absurd transfer strategy, more wingers WTF???
Its RB,LB, a Noble replacement for a box to box high energy ,pacy player, another quality pacy striker and a goalie THE TEAM IS CRYING OUT FOR.Having said that these rumours are only paper talk who Pellegrini is after ,so we shall have to wait and see.

injury prone and over the hill or an exotic name for far flung shores guarantees we are interested and a minimum £75thousand 3 year contract will see us beat of the supposed competition where as if you are young and have the talent but need coaching to help bring it out and improve well you can sod off we don't want any of that nonsense.

This should be sung against Leicester - Well it Christmas I guarantee that as soon as we reach 17th I think Pellegrini will be gone because if we go into the relegation zone we can buy off Pellegrini for 8 million that was what was said about 3weeks ago before the Southhampton match and sounds about right because the money saved will pay for another manager and I hope it will be Moyes and Newton if he dont go after Bournemouth match reckon the Gills match will clinch it, cos we are sure to lose that in the present scheme of things- If Pellegrini don't go after that -Then its Championship here we come

I expect we will stop buying the fancy dan all singing and dancing european players for a more down to earth grit and determination of the football league.....now before everyone goes oh no more Hugills lets calm down and agree yes the money wasted on him by Moyes was a panic buy with all the Arnie drama that was going on at that time and yes we all no his agent was Moyes brother but with him doing well in the championship we may be able to recoup some of that money in the summer.....there are some very good players down the leagues and more than capable of playing in the prem if you think not then look at the blunts and some of there players 3 seasons back were starting in league one...its all about identifying the right player with the right attitude for the position you want and we all know that the middle of the park is where our problems lie and of course in defence and if moyes lines up with a 3/4/2/1 formation then its wing backs not fullbacks that are going to be needed and who knows maybe Anderson or Fornals will be on there way out to raise funds...it will be fun to see what happens but expect to see more British players coming through the door this january

Will we keep him? I know some lads that do business with his Dad in Reading, they have said the Man U move is nailed on :o(

I think Moyes, if he keeps him, will play him in a straight back three, two wing backs and one up front, hence the talk about Joe Allen coming in the window.

Over-rated? Granted hes still young & will improve & hes been playing in a shite side of late! I've never been one for selling potential talents but if they get 80 mill for him surely that is great business?

I dont think hes over rated, the stats still show his work rate is good, tackles made, completed passes (normally back) etc etc suggests he is still a good player. I think the problem is the hype, we now just expect more... England international etc etc. As I said, I think Moyes will put him in the back, that will sure things up and watch this space on Joe Allen

Ever year he bought the best that the league had to offer and then a few unproven from outside the UK. Maybe we should do the same but at our level, buy the very best from the Chumps league? Is there another raw Antonio waiting to join???

David Moyes having been here before will know the way David Sullivan thinks. Loan, offer to buy after 12-18 months or as cheap as possible but must sell a few fringe players first. So no £20M Benfica man but Joe Allen for £8M instead. Not a bad buy imo and will add what Wilshere was supposed to offer if he had not been injured so much. Randolph cheap back up at £4m. Plus one or two on loans with offers to buy depending on appearances and the usual "we tried to get another striker but it was not to be" crap from Sullivan on 1st February.
