If like me you hear a lot of rumours but feel you can't believe most of them or indeed just want to tell us put them on here. It's the start of silly season and I feel frustrated you just hear made up stories we can't believe. So now I'm hoping to record them here and see who is the most accurate, and who just talks sh1t and even who just uses a scatter gun approach just to land the odd lucky guess. So here goes, record the rumour, where you heard it first and the date. And even time Then I will sort the list and see who we can trust most often. So if you hear it on the TV. Radio, newspaper, Internet or indeed just an in the know source, let's us know starting today. I'm only interested in the first people to break the rumours from this day as they then All jump on the band wagon.
The 2 big rumours doing the rounds now:
(1) Oxford intent on going to the Poo ... for about £10M. Has he really "turned down a contract a WHU"? If I were West Ham, I'd be explaining to him that he will have much more chance of playing if he stays with us. Liverpool do not even have European football next season, and as much as Klopp is a media darling, he came up short at the end of last season. RUMOUR RATING: Low. (2) Batsuayi to WHUFC for about €40M. West Ham don't want to spend quite that much, but he'd be a terrific signing. In my view he doesn't have the poise or technical skill of Lacazette; he's more straightforward, and good EPL defenders will force him to hesitate more to avoid being given offside. But he's still a predator and a prolific goalscorer. So don't dither, David -- make a decent offer and try to get this one sewn up.
Michy Batshuayi wanting
assurances on playing time and feels he will not get that much at spuds so wants a guarantee of playing time that's why we may provide the perfect option for him and with his mate payet being here as well who knows...as for the whole oxford nonsense its a story that will be repeated time and time again.....we have offered cresswell a new deal so the scousers can stop making noises about him so oxford the next big thing....lets see what happens when the window opens...but gotta luv the gossip don't ya ashes makes the non football season fly by lol
Last couple o days have been
Last couple o days have been a bit slow a lot of sites now reporting we will be spending £25 - £30 mill on a striker! Glad to see they are just not rehashing stories that have been about for months! As for Oxford we can't offer Oxford a proper contract till his next birthday later this year by fa rules.

So I'm kinda expecting something like this to become our next signing. Look at how many rumours already, and the window is not officially open yet!

Exwesthamemployee says manure have offered 15 mill for Oxford. Quite why any young kid would ruin his career under mourinho is anyone's guess. He doesn't play kids ( beware ratchford) and ruins talent that doesn't fit his way.

heres hoping that he does not listen to his agent and make a big mistake look at a certain Zaha who was touted as the next big thing goes to manure does nothing treated poorly and back to palace....whilst I feel oxford is more talented than Zaha if we want to be a big club and not a selling club we have to keep players like him and make him a decent offer...pretty sure bilic wants him to stay and the lad has to learn he is still developing into what will clearly be a tremendous player and with us he has a better chance than under moanrino ...someone give him loftus cheeks number maybe that will open his eyes

I can spell it easy for the sake of the thread, he is home grown decent age and what I have seen of him decent player that's gona fit in nicely that I rate highly. Anyway another 2 rumours Sunday express says we have enquired on juan mata and some of the cutting edge sites have even quoted David gold as saying he expects to do MORE signings this season! Wow! Fingers on the pulse guys. Serious question does anyone have a reasonable idea on how much we gonna spend this season? Didn't we get awarded about 85 mill from TV alone?

i don't have a clue and really do we need to be letting others know how much we have to spend? as to the mata rumour I had only just mentioned in neviles piece earlier how I would love to see him and townsend(not andy!) join us...goosebumps if he does join lol.... but seriously and with the owners we have I hope we spend the money well..all this talk of £20/30 million+ for a striker may be a way of deflecting others from noticing our other areas that need strengthening as in 2 rbs and lb cover for cressy

With Everton being rumoured to having 100 mill I can't help thinking sulli is playing a bit of poker here. Things like not letting people know how much plus announcing we will bid 20-25 mill for a striker seem like tactical manipulation and cunning in the market. Maybe I'm getting it wrong but I think they have got a game going on with teams over buying new players. Like I hVe said before until someone breaks cover we don't know the going rate of players but if we add players to the fee it might be easier to conclude negotiations. Use players like Valencia as make waits etc. easier said than done maybe?

has a list of players we are sniffing around but mention that the winger we are looking at is sofiane feghouli an Algerian playing for Valencia N'Koudo of Marseille we have looked at but appeared to have dropped our interest...another week of links to possible signings ahead but its all smoke and mirrors right now.
