VAR

We already have two tier officiating, so what is the point of two tier VAR??Dean, Oliver, Marriner & Moss is a great name for a firm of Solicitors! You CAN'T have one FA Cup quarter final with VAR and another without. Can someone explain to me why Martin Atkinson's sending off of the Man Utd player was a clear mistake??? We ended up having to wait for ages for someone else's opinion to overturn someone else's opinion. No difference there then...as was the outcome. Manchester City got away with murder because of totally incompetent officiating. Why do all the vital decisions go the way of the BIG clubs??? When will an official be punished FINANCIALLY for obvious mistakes??? I'm almost 59...so probably not in my lifetime!

Who is going to be making the Decision? apparently the ref has final say but they will relinquish decisions and go for whatever the VAR guy decides...as for reason no VAR at swansea and millwall cup ties being because they are not Premier teams what nonsense...if you are going to use it then it is for everyone not just the so called elite...with it citeh would of possibly been knocked out as clearly one was not a penalty and secondly Aguerro was clearly offside for the winner very unfair on swansea who played very well indeed.

Exactly, instead of talking about dubious decisions in the workplace, pub, or Sunday morning park kick-about. We will be talking about techno nerds and how VAR spoilt an otherwise lively game. Only going one way now, and it's down......

going to miss those human mistakes which even players say equal out through the season .The game is becoming sterile

I disagree. How many times have Man City, Liverpool been on the receiving end of a dubious decision this season compared to ones in their favour. Me? I'm looking forward to those games where a shit decision and the loss of 3 points for the underdog are done away with and the big boys can't rely on referee bias to save their arses!

Agree mate,A further advantage is that it can punish simulation, one of the dirtiest parts of the game in which conning the referee by diving in the box to win a penalty.there days are numbered.

of course obvious cock ups will be highlighted but just wait until a contentious decision arises where it could go for or against a team depending on whose view will be taken the guys in the VAR room which hearing on talks**te will be refs with inferior experience or the man on the pitch...and also heard that the prem has decided in its arrogance that there will be no monitor for the ref to have a second look at but will be down to either a yes or no from the var man....it is going to be a crazy start to next season for sure
