Well then, Nolans been Paid Off!

Submitted by fred149 on Wed, 26/08/2015 - 22:47

Looks like Kevin Nolans been paid off. Got to be honest poor player and for half a season did his job on the field aswell as off the field. One of our better captains but poorest players, hope he does well at his new club, who ever that may be. Am getting worried about our squad depth though.

Just seen your post. I have not seen it just heard about it, but if true and Maiga gone as well that frees up £ 90k a week in wages .

Odd if true. With squad so stretched. Out of form and not looked a premier league player recently but never deserved the grief he got. Top pro and would be typical if he has taken a sensible settlement in order to play football elsewhere. I certainly wish him well and

its not his fault he got grief , who wouldn't keep playing if picked for 40 or 50 k a week , last of the Alidyce contamination of west ham

Good luck to the bloke, fans never really took to him because of his link to Allardyce but his goals and captaincy were part of the reason the club found stability instead of turning into a Leeds Utd, he's been seen as the reason the team struggles but none of the issues I saw on Saturday were down to him being on the pitch, it'll be interesting to see who's the next victim for abuse

Nothing to do with his link to sam,he has been pedestrian for the last 2 seasons...why do people think its a witch hunt against certain players?if someone is not good enough they get grief example-jenkinson & cresswell were awful last week...its like that in most walks of life??if i f*ck up a job i dont get paid-simple as that....

Best captain we've had in the last decade and more . Top bloke, vital for our club in the past 4 seasons. Indeed his legs were gone in the latter parts of his stay here but scored massive, massive goals that helped us get promoted and stay in the premier league. Should mention what he brought in the dressing room as well. When he came in the club was in absolute disarray. Now things look a lot more different. It is time to go but I personally feel a bit saddened that he didn't receive the deserved love and respect by some. So long captain Kev and good luck.

As I said on Facebook if we had signed all the players we were SUPPOSEDLY linked with this summer we would have a squad of around 150 players.....

I hope this is Sully's masterplan and we have now free'd up some wage money (Nolan & Maiga) to recruit before deadline.....come in Charlie Austin your time is up?
Nolan did a first rate job as captain in the chumpionship and as a steadying influence in our first year back in the prem. but then he should've been shelved. Will never be remembered fondly but did a job that needed doing.

Its on the West Ham official site, funny thing about it is as yet he has not gone to Bolton or apparently no body else,so Andy Carrol has lost his old mucker (will this unsettle him) strange time to terminate his contract considering he played against Leicester. Hope G&S /Brady know what they r doing with our squad, we need to keep players not lighten up our wage bill, get the players 1st and then sell the older players not the other way round. Song has given us a blank, we have a lot of games close together after the Newcastle game get another 2 sent off and 2 injured, Collins and Pochachino supossed to be leaving and we could be in for a dog fight before we have played 7 games. Its Ok Slaven Billic saying that there is no need to panic, but we keep getting blanks from top Strikers and having just got rid of Maiga I hope they don't end up buying another passenger. Dear Mr Gold and Sullivan and MS Brady put your hand in your pocket Get Austin, Adebeyor and Moses before someone else does and we end up with a brand new stadium - a load of disapointed supporters and a place next season in the Championship. DONT LOOK TO GOOD does it????? but wot ever u do dont panic Mr Billic

However, it was time. Now, at the moment we have a major problem and that is putting out a team that can compete in the premiership, looking at our options for Saturday WE are going to get thrashed. Ok, I know that is being pessimistic but if we have to put Jarvis in midfield and O’Brian at the back, that is a weak side.
