Poor goal to concede, Sturridge lost his marker way too easily... I thought it was Cress at fault

OK, a few little things. West Ham have, to my mind, not played badly. They are seriously outgunned, but they've created two, maybe three clear chances. They could easily be on level terms right now. I won't rule out a comeback in the second half.

Predictably all the pundits are tossing themselves off over Liverpool at the break.
More proof we need a goalscoring striker I think...Not one 'expert' has mentioned how severely depleted our squad is which shouldn't surprise us though - COYI!

Should be 2-1

Instead 3-0 and another famous bad decision against us.

3 k run and a dip in the pool and I still have that fecking Ref in my head, how could he not see that?? I know we were poor but at 2 1 it could have change the game. It would be a lot less stressful if I did not like football

If Bilic wasnt a former hammer i think a lot more would be calling for him to go
spurs win has probably saved him but it doesnt fill me with much confidence for next season

You beat me too it Harry, but I'm sure people know my thoughts on the manager. Like you say I'm sure the Spurs game has saved bilic and maybe the fact that a lot of our players have now taken early operations rather than see the last 2 games out. With a bit of luck the board may change their minds if we get a similar performance last game.sending the fans off on their holidays with a performance like that just isn't right. I noticed the minute bilic made his subs we collapsed.changing the formation made it so simple for them.

Its a sad indictment on us that our best player has such a minimal effect and to me its frightening how much excess we're carrying and the numbers of new players we are going to need Fonti ,Byram ,Feg ,Noedviet ,Ayew , Calleri ,Snodgrass. Along with whoever is responsible for signing this tosh need their pictures

That we were going to get anything out of this game, considering the line-up?
We had half a team out through injuries,& apart from Lanzini, reid, ginge & adrian imo the rest are pretty much deadwood that need to be got rid off!!Big changes in the summer needed, with proper investment or we will struggle again next time out!!

No more 6 or 7 mill signings ,i reckon we will have to send BIG time.i agree with you on your assessment about the line up we held our own for the first ten minutes after that it went downhill fast the odd long ball but rarely got into their box there was no bite in midfield and worse again up front this guy Calleri is a joke

we had 8 players missing / not available, I think they had 2. They are a top four side and looked worthy of that position. Had we being playing also rans we could of got away with it. I question the attitude of all on the pitch was not acceptable and I mainly question the Bilic move of removing the back 3 and revert to a flat back four... it didnt work and in a blink we were 2 nil down and game over. This was a poor decision and he needs to stand up and recognise that.

Totally agree with H65 that with the lineup there was no reason to expect us to get anything from the game. And we were outplayed, to be sure, in both halves. Yet Byram should have been on target (and if so, would have scored), and Ayew should have scored with not one but two clear opportunities at the end of the half. First half could have been a totally different story: 1-1, or 2-2 or even 2-1 to us going into half time. After the half we were piss poor, there's no doubt about that. Liverpool came out of the gates and we didn't. But Slav's double change was designed to put some attack back in the side, and to be honest the back three formation didn't look like it was going to hold out anyway. So they went up 2-0 and it looked like game over, but Feg added some spark and suddenly from a corner we should have had a penalty and be back in the game 2-1. The fact that the ref didn't give the pen and we went down 3-0 was the end of the match right there for me. It IS terribly frustrating that West Ham completely threw in the towel at that point -- that is unprofessional and I'd even say disrespectful to the home fans in the last home game of the season. But it's understandable that we collapsed like a pricked balloon at that point. What I agree with is that we need huge changes to the team, plus a LOT of investment, if we are going to avoid relegation next season. We have to be among the five or six teams in trouble as things are right now. Yes we have a lot of injuries, but it's not as if Carroll or Sakho will ever be fit for long periods, and the rest, including Noble, Kouyate, Ogbonna, Obiang -- are OK players but not playmakers. West Ham need at least 2 GOOD signings to create a solid foundation. It will be years before we crack into the top 6-8. Every team from 9-17 is about the same, and that's scary.

Oh leave it out Dartford i cant think of another team in the prem that has so much dead weight its a perennial problem for us truth is we need to rebuild we have a gem in Lanzini and he for gets isolated for much of the matches another gem is Masa Reid ging the rest only get a 5 or 6 out of ten i agree 100%with dicksy ,all the tosh he mentions must go and through in Snodgrass ,if you think our problems lye in the fact that we revert to a back four instead of a back three well im afraid your kidding yourself our problems run deep and between the owners, the board, the manager and the back up staff their making a f##k of it ,a good start would be finding out whos at fault for bringing in all this dross ,lets be honest when the French man (who s name cannot be mentioned) was in his element we thought all our troubles were over we seemed to be building the team around him and the results were sensational ,its not the playing formation or tactics thats wrong its the structures of our great club

Agree burkie structure is wrong and pretty much all the the staff down to the first team have made a right mess of things. We won't get rid of g and s but they themselves should get rid of any of the imcomptents! It seem like the whole club is run like a division 2 club and until we get in some top class people to run the club in important areas then the rest is papering over cracks! Let's start acting like a top club in the way we do things, then maybe we can worry about who we sign or offload. ATM the clubs foundations are built on sand!

The move to a back four was never going to work as we have absolutely nothing up front to capitalise on an attaching formation. I agree the problems run deep but when you have an average squad and 8 are missing against a top three side you are always going to struggle

If and a big if, we had the best first 11 playing for most of the season we would not be far off 5th spot........If then we were not performing you could blame the manager. I know its a squad game but even the big boys would not last long with half there first 11 out. Take Chelsea, if Hazard doesn't perform they are mediocre and last season proved it
