Cheik It Out Red Card Rescinded!

As was widely expected Hammers have won their appeal against Cheikhou Kouyate's red card incorrectly issued by referee Jonathan Moss during their FA Cup fifth-round win at Blackburn. Kouyate, was sent off by Moss for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity when accidentally bringing down Rovers defender Adam Henley during West Ham's 5-1 win at Ewood Park. The decision and one match ban was overturned by an independent FA regulatory commission, which means the fit again and raring to go midfielder can now play against Sunderland on Saturday 12:45. - Ed

West Ham To Appeal Against Kouyate Red Card

West Ham United will contest the red card Cheikhou Kouyate received during Sunday's 5-1 FA Cup win at Blackburn. Kouyate was given a straight red card for apparently denying a goal scoring opportunity to Blackburn defender Adam Henley, and if Henley had legs that were two metres long then that might have been the case, however there is no way on god's earth that either (a) the player would have reached the ball or (b) Goal Keeper Darren Randolph would not have easily reached the ball first!

Shrewsbury Town Or Manchester United FA Cup Quarter Final

Hammers reward for a blistering 5 - 1 away assault on Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup is a slightly underwhelming away fixture against the winners of League One strugglers Shrewsbury Town and Premier League strugglers Manchester United. The exact date of the fixture is yet to be confirmed due to Manchester United's Euro League commitments and the vague if unlikely possibility of the fixture needing to be replayed. - Ed

Build It And They Will Come

David gold has confirmed that we have asked for the capacity of the OS to be increased to 60 thousand because of demand which is fantastic news if your not a taxpayer in London!.

Two Steps Forward One Step Back!

West Ham United are about to lock horns with Tottenham in a bidding war for £25 Million rated Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, the striker might want to link up with his old team mate Dimitri Payet at the Olympic Stadium as opposed to joining the North London outfit. The final results for both teams will also be a massive factor in where the player ends up, but it does seem that any deal will prove 'difficult' to conclude without splashing the cash!

Payet Nailed Down For Two Extra Years

As every West Ham fan knows, unless they have been asleep or on a desert island, Dimitri Payet's deal with the club has been extended by two years and the player will receive a further £20,000 per week in wages. This might seem like a huge pay hike, but it still means that Slaven Billic's 'main man' will be earning less than Andy Carroll, who was signed for £85,000 per week following his £15 Million transfer from Liverpool.

There Must Be An Angel (o)

Angelo Ogbonna broke Scouser hearts seconds away from a penalty shoot out during extra time against Liverpool in an enthralling and entertaining FA Cup 4th round replay that saw both sides able to win the tie. Hammers prevailed in the end in what some would see as a Karmic balance of a footballing match, of course the last time both teams met in the FA Cup proper was the 2006 Gerrard/Scaloni Cup final, a match that still has the West Germany 3-2 England 1970 Mexico world cup finals parallel firmly embedded in certain Hammers fans memories.
