FA Will Not Charge Billic And Carroll For Being Honest?

'Slaven Bilic and Andy Carroll will not be charged by the Football Association over their comments about referee Jon Moss', so read the words of wisdom from the bastions of virtue and clear thinking. Bilic has been "reminded of his responsibilities" and Big Andy "warned as to his future conduct" after they both criticised Moss following his ridiculous display as the referee officiating the 2-2 draw with Leicester City on the 17th of April at the King Power.

Out With The Old? In With The New And Youth!

Hammers recent recruitment drive, instigated by ex-Everton super scout Tony Henry, has seen a distinct shift in emphasis, no longer are the club looking for ageing 'cheap' stop gaps, instead the key word is youth. Of course this does not mean a hell for leather throw them in at the deep end approach, rather a let's integrate youth with players who are at the top of their game and peak of fitness, that way the knowledge and wisdom of the senior players can be passed on directly, there is no substitute for experience.

Summer Clear Out Due!

A week can be a long time in politics, a couple of minutes can be a life time in football, and so a week that began with so much promise for West Ham United has unravelled spectacularly. Recent refereeing decisions and then the Sakho saga followed by defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup replay and then compounded by the media witch hunt that once again got it's claws in to the Olympic Stadium award. All in all a pretty disastrous fall from the heady heights of expectation, but maybe this reality check will stand the team in good stead for the future.

Are Hammers Putting Carroll Up For Grabs Or Is He The Man?

There has been plenty of media talk about Andy Carroll since he virtually destroyed Arsenal's defence with his bludgeoning hat trick at the Boleyn. Troubled striker Diafra Sakho's absence provided the Big Geordie with the opportunity that he grasped with head and foot, more about Sakho later, but it is Carroll who occupied all the column inches and is being touted as potentially Roy Hodgson's secret weapon to take with him to France this summer.
