It took 70 days for West Ham to return back to winning ways in the Premier League, Wilson’s heroics at the end have seen the Hammers nick all three points against Spurs, a thrilling first half which in hindsight should’ve put the game to bed, but a second half which saw West Ham on the backfoot, let to Nuno subbing on Wilson which ultimately won us the game.
A first half of thrilling action, the Hammers got away under the right foot against Spurs, and Nuno made his old side look like Spuds! Thomas Frank’s side sat there and woefully defended any chance that was placed at them. Pablo had the ball in the net, but a fairly blatant foul by Taty led to it respecfully being ruled out, which would also happen again after Bowen turned in a chance from a corner but was fairly offside.
Though once again, Summerville decided to star against another London club, he carried on his form from QPR and thumped the Hammers into the lead, a MOTM-worthy performance from him.
A new formation, a new result. There are several positives to highlight for West Ham and Nuno this afternoon, but also a few areas that need addressing. It wasn’t admirable to see the Hammers sit back and take on the wraith Spurs forced upon us, but fortunately, it was damage limitation, and once the smallest bits of momentum had changed in Nuno’s favour, in fairness to him, he differed from his usual substitution mistakes, decided to sub on Wilson and hunt, to which he did.
Credit where credit is due, a mesmerising performance from both the central defenders, Todibo as well as a not fully fit Mavropanos, were dominant across today’s game…thankfully, there was another ‘man’ who didn’t ‘kill’ our defensive abilities, especially given that you always want to get the ‘max’ out of your players.
An aspect of hope, an element of belief, has now been reinstated amongst a broken group. That’s now two wins on the bounce for the Hammers in all competitions and something that Nuno will take great pleasure from. Positivity and form amongst players can almost be a make-or-break factor when walking into the beginning of the game, and with this vital victory against ‘The Spuds’, who knows what can happen now. - LN

Like many today i was worried about losing to them
But this is West Ham and well we turned up in the fisrt half and should and arguably could of been 3 up by HT then in the second half we just did not hold onto the ball well enough and gave them momentum and when Pablo was taken off for Rodriguez i feared the worse probably like many of us and the thought of trying to defend the draw was leading to palpitations but then Taty came off and Wilson came on wow something Nuno never does and within moments a chest down a shot that sadly was defended well by them but from the corner Wilson smashed it into the roof of the net and according to my better half the noises i was making were on the Gary Neville level!.

Todibo had a good game today. He put in a shift and it's first time he's actually looked fit playing for us. As great as beating Spuds away is, seeing that we actually have a CB who can do the business is the most important thing I've taken away from todays game and gives a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season. On a real positive note here,and after the spud win,we are not dead yet,far from it,theres still alot to play for,and alot of points to be had,this time last week i was convinced of relegation,and just waiting for a spanking from them north london twats,but it didnt happen,we went out there and showed we still have life in us,this is typical West Ham,the West Ham Way,beat Sunderland next week,another shower i dont like,and we are on the right track.

Into these results. I'll take the wins and the three points but we couldn't beat QPR over 90 minutes and Tottenham are riddled with injuries. Sunderland will be a better yardstick to judge us by but certainly, Taty and Pablo made a much bigger difference and put us on the front foot. It's no surprise to me that playing like that showed also, a much improved performance from our defenders, particularly Todibo and Mavro,
Is it just me who noticed after the game that Nuno went around hugging all the players but all Callum Wilson got was a handshake?

with the outcome, Scarles is getting better week by week, Mav and Todibo hardly put a foot wrong, two up top gave Spurs problems!
Yes Spurs have injuries but look at the depth of their squad compared to ours, they did not do themselves any favours when Ben Davies rash challenge on Bowen ended with Davies being stretchered off and the home side getting 5 yellow cards compared to our 3 speaks volumes. We had a much better 1st half but Spurs were always going to come out firing in the 2nd as they were a goal down and chasing the game. The most important thing was when they leveled our players did not capitulate and stuck to the task. Thought the ref had a decent game and no rash decisions from VAR for a change. Overall I am more than happy with the outcome.

Nuno is starting to have an impact now. Theres no doubt Taty and Picasso have brought new energy, made a difference to the side. I would expect the same 11 to start next week.
I would urge us now to keep Wilson until the Summer at least. Reason being, if he starts both new boys each game now. Barring injury you need to bring on fresh legs. Wilson himself, may not like that scenario and still harbours World Cup ambitions. But the club has to come first!
I have to go out on a limb here. I predict Fernandes will be a future Captain of the club. What a powerhouse he is in midfield. I'm more and more impressed by him each week. First name on the team sheet now surely.
By the way, Lucas who - nuff said, get rid, pronto!!

My first visit to the new WHL. Had a full monty corporate ticket thanks to a lovely Spud mate, parking under the stadium, food, beverages and a padded heated seat.. wow, thats how to watch footie!
Have to say, what a stadium, by far the best footie stadium I have ever visited, not yet been to the Hill Dickinson, but still... Quality! Wouldn't like to get there by public transport... its a mess!
Good news, it reminds me of the early days at the BoM ... TOXIC!! Their fans are loud but negative! Don't be surprised if they get sucked into the relegation race.
As for the game, its already been said by all, Jimmy in the first half was unplayable, having two front men made life easier for the defenders and midfield to find an outlet. ... its not bloody rocket science, The vitality, energy, work rate etc etc was the best I have seen this season. Lucas who???? :o)

WHL does look rather nice and I will be making an effort to see a game there. Interesting comment you made about getting there by public transport, Bit like Upton Park isn't it and one of the key reasons for our move . Great stadium and lousy transport infrastructure. Now we have a crap stadium and terrific transport infrastructure.
Funnily enough we're both in the same boat with a crap team and fans wanting the boards out.
