just not good enough
preseason or not that was a horrible display..letting in a couple of set pieces leaves you worrying about the defence yet again....we are a couple of weeks away from playing lukaku/rashford and all and against a german 4th tier team we and i quote "looked nervous" and lacked invention in the midfield..one more friendly to play i believe thats citeh in iceland well yeah thats really going to improve confidence what a dumb choice of a friendly that is....some arses need kicking....this late in preseason we should have an idea as to who will be starting when prem kicks off...yes we have injuries to key players whats new there and reid getting sent off was unprofessional even in a friendly....we need more depth to the squad people

Outside of a money reason I just don't get why we would have city or indeed any prem team in preseason? What positives can be taken from it? There can only be negatives. So at best it's a wasted game. Isn't there enough teams in Britain or Europe we can play?
saw the highlights
the wall was pitiful for Altona's first goal, then Adrian was off his line for the second, and the West Ham defender (I couldn't make him out) leapt too soon on the cross and couldn't make contact. Martinez' goal was well-taken. Ayew's was good, but might have been saved in the EPL: right at the keeper. I wouldn't read too much into these preseason matches; they are training right through them and also trying to avoid injury. Let's see whether we settle in after 3 regular season matches. I do agree with McBikeman that we can never have enough depth. Martinez has done enough for me to earn a spot in the starting rotation for now.
I have been worried
about defence for ages, I think Cress will lose his place to Arthur, right sid is ok, its the centre that worries me.

When i saw Reese Burke in the friendly games i thought that at last they were getting him ready ,at least as a bench player for one of the C B positions but loaned out again ,whats this his 4 th year on loan ,if hes not up to scratch sell him. Looks like Ginge is goin to play a major part again
