"Nothing to see here, now move on please" is the phrase much beloved of 'Coppers' in old black and white movies, as they attempt to move onlookers on from the scene of a crime. There have been so many column inches devoted to Jesse Lingard's departure from Manchester United that we are inclined to use the old copper's advice.
The fact is that there is: "Nothing to see here, so now it is probably time to move on", hard as it is to accept that Lingard will end up at Newcastle, the reality is that he almost CERTAINLY will. Manchester United are totally UNWILLING to let Lings join Hammers, who they see as a serious rival for a champions league slot.
It can be guaranteed that 'whatever' Hammers offer Lingard, Newcastle will double it! There is NO point in lamenting the situation because it is what it is and the club HAS to move on, essentially the issue being one of denial. How could Jesse Lingard NOT want to return to East London, many have asked? He hit the best form of his career and forged a remarkable relationship with the players at the club during his loan spell, which saw him regain his place in the England squad.
It seems as if Hammers are in a way victims of their own success, with fewer and fewer clubs wanting to sell to a DIRECT competitior which is what Hammers have become. There is no point in 'romancing' Jesse Lingard anymore, his Dad clearly doesn't 'like' West Ham, otherwise the player would ALREADY be in London, so regretfully it really IS time to move on, it IS a pity, but the club risk losing credibility if it doesn't accept the situation and MOVE ON.
It is a great pity that Lingard will end up away from West Ham, but it is a move that should have happened during the summer but didn't. So to sum things up, there is no point in being in denial, maybe now is the time to let it go and move on Mr Moyes! - ED

and still no new additions. Window closes in 11 days, very worrying!
I trust in the Moyesaih but not the unholy trinity, Czech Mate is keeping his head down so lets see. I dont think any of them have the ambition to be Top Four and for that we kiss good bye to Dec and maybe The Hereford Bull.
Agree Ed, Jesse VERY unlikely to be joining. Im not going to slag him off, he did a brilliant job on loan.

Reported that Man U have commented "We're all talking about West Ham and Tottenham being interested. But this is not last season. Man Utd are in direct competition with the likes of West Ham and Tottenham for a top-four finish"
I read that and just thought WOW... we have come a long way when the likes of Man U see's you as competition, COYMI's!!!!
