UEFA have fined West Ham just under £30,000 and banned them from selling tickets to fans for their next Europa League game which is the away tie against Rapid Vienna, as a result of “crowd disturbances” in their last European tie in Genk and at the previous Europa Cup league game at home against Rapid Vienna.

Quite how this judgement was reached is a cause for investigation, the timing of the decision is an absolute OUTRAGE! Hundreds of law abiding fans stand to lose 'substantial' amounts of money as a result of the fixture being cancelled for visiting fans, and while there will be refunds for tickets purchased, no such arrangement is in place for fans who have already forked out for air fares AND accomodation.

Having attended the 'contensious' home game at the London Bowl, we are still baffled as to why Hammers should be held responsible for away fans hell bent on causing trouble! Realistically, outside of the ground, who on earth would put up with having 'sizeable' objects thrown at them without some form of retaliation?

When considering the miniscule fines handed out to seriously racist 'interventions' perpetrated against England's national side by 'ultras' of many eastern european countries, the word hypocrisy springs to mind, swiftly followed by the acusation of the dual standards UEFA operate under.

A fair deal? Are 'you 'aiffing' a laugh? - Ed

My feelings about UEFA, FIFA (including the F.A), are probably a mixture of disgust and outright nuclear. I have always believed that UEFA holds a deep-rooted hatred of English football and its clubs and it can sometimes be seen in the refereeing decisions against English teams when playing in Europe (although less obvious these days).
It is as plain as the nose on anyone face that past reputation and our club's media profile has played a part in their punishment of us.
I'm fuming about this and I need to bite my tongue as it isn't good for my calm.
I have always believed that they are a bunch of crooks and gangsters and this proves it beyond all doubt!

Totally agree about FIFA etc being crooks second only to The EU and The Olympic Committee!

Its a good point about the media, we had a big reputation in the 70s / 80's and films like Green St, Cass, The Firm, Rise of the foot soldier etc etc dont IMO help.

There you have it, the films you mentioned preceed Hammers fans at grounds in Europe but also influence how the club is viewed in the rest of the world.

I was at the Home tie with Rapid Viena and they started all the trouble from the off Throwing water bottles it always seems that we have never been liked and any disadvantage they can throw in our way and can get away with. I also seem to remember fireworks being let off this isn't allowed What Happens to them??? NOTHING I think we ought to do the same thing and limit the tickets for the Dynamo Zagreb game. Theres no doubt about it they dont want West Ham In Europe

I would stick two fingers up to them and close our stadium to home and away fans for the rest of the competition and if we make the final send all our allocation back fuck lining there pockets...yes its draconian and cuts our nose off to spite our face but look UEFA/FIFA so corrupt and full of shit tell them where to stick there competitions
