Ahead of this lunch time's Barclays Premier League fixture against relegation threatened Sunderland, West Ham manager Slaven Billic has a couple of pleasant selection head aches. Primarily who does he play at right back, Sam Byram who is now available having been cup tied, or retain Mikael Antonio who performed so well against Blackburn in the 5-1 FA Cup victory? Billic also has to decide whether to give Emmanuel Emenike his first EPL start, or start the incredibly fragile Andy Carroll, as Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho are both unavailable through injury. Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce will have prepared his players diligently in order that they can stifle the team he once managed and then go for a smash and grab raid! It should not be forgotten that Allardyce has history when it comes to 'parking the bus', he also has a certain Jermaine Defoe available who loves nothing more than scoring against the club he abandoned to go and play for north london's second team. Hopefully the contest will be devoid of unnecessary and unsavoury chants about Sam Allardyce or particularly Adam Johnson, in these circumstances it is far better to let the football do the talking! - Ed

I know their club is in a bit of a pickle, but they didn't have to come dressed like cucumbers ,must have felt like right "wallies" ;)
I know, mate
When the commentators referred to them as the "Black Cats", I thought WTF, they're GREEN! Silly gherkins!
LOL
I actually thought they had come in fancy dress!Thought they did that at the end of the season!!;)
Carroll is much better than
Carroll is much better than Emenike and it's proved by numbers https://sporticos.com/en/p/25109-andy-carroll But to be honest, they shouldn't play for WHU. In my opinion, Bilic has to find another great striker.

Totally agree .. Well said !
Probably not in the correct
Probably not in the correct thread here but for anyone watching on BT Sport's Fletch & Sav this morning, Sir Geoff Hurst was on as a guest - What a complete pleasure to hear this man speak....74 years of age (he don't even look 60 to me), a real treat to listen to a massive legend and his views....All common sense of course as well as a well honed down to earth nature - Utterly fantastic, good on you Sir Geoff!
