It’s Deja Vu as the Hammers unfortunately are having to deal with the typical Manchester United transfer antics once again this summer.
Manchester United are looking for a double deal for the Hammers, holding their interest in signing Crysencio Summerville as well as Mateus Fernandes. As the transfer window has only just opened, the Hammers have responded, suggesting that ‘United’ will have to fork out a whopping £130m for the pair.
That breaks down to £50m for Summerville and £80m for Fernandes. Whether the Hammers are to get this for the pair is an unknown, but what’s for sure is that we won’t be accepting a lowball offer.
Daniel Kretinsky has already come out to the media, speaking about how West Ham United “do not need to sell players” as he aims to retain as many key players as possible heading into this Championship season, of which Summerville and Fernandes are high on this list.
Whilst it would be amusing if the Hammers achieved £130m for the pair, the likelihood is that these are price tags to form a starting point and bounce the lustful interest out the door.
The typical saying of “you have to sell because you’re in the Championship” doesn’t always apply to everyone, it only likely ends up happening to players that either have release clauses, or ones that have no interest in staying and wish to leave - of which we know neither of Summerville’s and Fernandes’ thoughts, so let’s not all jump of the hill to find conclusion!
All West Ham fans know the way Manchester United do business… look at them in recent times! Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, McTominay - absolutely ALL deals were a nightmare to negotiate for. I suspect we’ll retaliate in our own way now, so the message is simple… can’t pay? We’ll take them away elsewhere and see who wants to properly negotiate, we’ve certainly got options!
Summerville has over eight clubs interested in him, whilst Fernandes has over 20, there’s certainly interest elsewhere on the market.

Should be building
Around those two, not looking for a best price, We have number of deadwood that can be offloaded which, although may not command a high fee, will almost certainly remove a chunk off the wage bill. Players like Areola, Killman, Todibo, Ward Prowse, Fullkrug, Soucek and Traore. Personally, I would also consider offloading Bowen and Diouf, who may command decent fees and Scarles is perfectly adequate, if not better than Diouf. and the likes of Magasssa and Alvarez should get decent game time.
As for incomings, another goalkeeper and I'd love it if a decent attempt were made to get Disasi on a permanent contract would be nice. THe players I haven't mentioned from last season I'd have no problem retaining. Whether they will or not is another question entirely
We in no pisition
To keep disasi summerville and fernandes. Lets face it, we havent a prayer. Offers will come in those three will down tools and be off no question. Theres no way they spend a season in champs.
Relegation put paid to any hopes of keeping them
Disasi?
I think he's already back with the owners VAR... Chavski?
We were never in a position to buy such players not with our debt
Not Alvarez DH
Ive seen milk turn quicker!
Hopefully the WC will be a good window to get some real money back for him.
Mancs can just do one!
DK is no Sully... No fire sale
Now Tottenham are also
Now Tottenham are also interested in Fernandes. If it turns to desperation times and DK decides to sell him to them, he can be rest assured that it would infuriate all the fans.
I'm hearing on the jungle
I'm hearing on the jungle drums that Disasi wants a permanent return to the BOM. Don't know if Alonso has told him to jeff off to the Merde Maison. But if he wants to come back to his mates then bring it on!!
I agree Boogers bring Disasi
I agree Boogers bring Disasi back, keep Bowen,Taty,Fernandes and Sommerville to build round, they were just starting to get the hang if one another, there will be more chance to attract others with them......Lol Shit House very good.
