As the stormy clouds closed in and the protests begun, the London derby against Crystal Palace kicked off which would ultimately see Hammers fans having to endure 90 minutes of an unenthusiastic, lethargic performance with the players coasting around the pitch.
Crystal Palace would take the lead through Mateta from a corner despite Areola taking the starting spot, and Mavros defensive efforts of an acrobatic clearance weren’t able to keep the scoreline level.
All wouldn’t be bad as Jarrod Bowen would convert a header from the corner of Malick Diouf, in which the Hammers saw a surge of attacks but all would amount to nothing. The expected flurry of attacks each game lasted for about 10 minutes, but the lack of urgency to have shots were Potters’ Achilles heel.
Crystal Palace swiftly resumed as always and turned the scoreline around to resume their winning stance. For the remaining 22 minutes, the tactics had no urgency to see us back in the game and considering the style of football West Ham were playing, you’d have thought they were winning 2-1!
In order to bolster the hopes of scoring, Graham Potter made the decision to substitute Summerville for Guilherme as well as Fernandes for Magassa, whom many believe had been our best player on the pitch, instead of Ward-Prowse who had received a negative reception once again.
The weather progressively got worse as the fixture went on, and once making your way out the stadium, the shower of rain became heavier which completed a rather fitting comparison to how Graham Potter’s time at West Ham has gone.
The numb atmosphere before taking a seat to the boos ringing around the stadium at the final whistle, the Matchday environment is becoming more and more against Potter.
This is further shown through the Hammers fans joining in with Crystal Palace signing “sacked in the morning” and “you don’t know what you’re doing”, which proved to be the most unity we’ve had in an atmosphere within the last year.
Time is running around and combining the meetings that took place with Nuno and a defeat today, it feels difficult to imagine a world where there isn’t a change soon.

Potters time is up
We all no that but the atmosphere around the club is down to Sullivan and until that man is gone it will not matter who is installed as the next mug errr manager.
With games to come away at Everton and Arsenal any man thinking of taking the job may just wait till those fixtures are gone....But unless we get rid of this hapless board little or no progress will ever be made....Todays protest was a start here is hoping the pressure builds with each one.

It's like daja vu here. We all new El Loppo was going. It was a matter of when not if. Things had got to such a point.
Now we're here again. Must admit I didn't think we would be. I don't know why Potter has not worked out. But he's way out of his depth and will struggle to come back to the Premier league once gone!
I am sticking my neck out and saying Nuno will be the next cab off the rank in the next few days.
yes agree
my feelings exactly i just cant be bothered any more no enthusiasm, rather like the players
I seem to remember the
I seem to remember the enthusiasm on here when an English manager was appointed,I also remember one of his verbal replies ""we're so excited it's a bit like Christmas " , come on you guys why do you think England has won sod all in 60 years ,gotta face it the Europeans are top notch when it comes to football ,am I right in thinking there is only 3 in the prem ,I got to agree with bike on this one ,nothing will change till that pip sqeek and his ilk are gone .
Yeah
Let's get Loppy back
This whole situation has
This whole situation has become one big yawn,i was one that was pleased with the Potter appointment, but it hasnt worked, the question is,"who will it work with" we can all say "give him a go" and thats where we are at,such lack lustre feelings with it all,i really couldnt give a toss who has a go at it now,as it wont work, the bare bones of it is we are not an attractive club, full of the want to achieve attitude isnt there, the move from Upton Park is the doing of this, not owning our ground has now bit Sullivan on the arse, what are we a club name on paper,we could drop out of this league now,if that happens we wont come back for many years.....My opinion is,Upton Park had the feel of a club that whatever happened, there was always a good going forward feeling, thats gone, its now flat, dull and dreary we are stuck where we are,no one wants to come to us,let alone buy us.....Sullivans idea to move,to a place we dont own,has sucked the guts from the club, and hes stuck with it which has ruined this club, you can paper over the cracks as much as you want, which we have, but in my opinion its where the problem is
Essex
The only ones who do not feel it or see that run the club unfortunately.
