Hammers Delight As Woes Relieved

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 25/05/2025 - 19:33

The woes are over, the season is done! West Ham have finished the 2024/25 campaign in 14th place with a win at Portman Road, Wolves were held to a draw, which saw them drop to 16th, whilst Manchester United could only secure 15th with 42 points, the Hammers finishing with 43.

We started the season with a 2-1 Loss to Aston Villa and ended with a 3-1 Win to Ipswich, completely different sides, but it’s nice to see the squad ending on a win. Ipswich were far from a good side this season, but a win is a win, and as the fans have seen, the club has struggled against the relegated sides… Southampton.

As always, the keeper has to have one scary moment in each game and Fabianski had a frightening moment loosing the ball to the attacker, but fortunately Ipswich weren’t able to capitalise on his mistake, the same couldn’t be said for the Tractors as Bowen was gifted the ball, a pass to Ward Prowse saw us go 1-0 up into the break.

In another common occurrence this season, we conceded towards the beginning of the second half, yet our lead was restored just a few minutes later, Bowen with a lovely one-two saw him lace the ball in anger off Thomas Tuchel, thundering the ball into the net to make it 2-1. The rest of the game was seen out with Kudus coming on as a substitute, making it three with a curling effort and no celebration to match the goal.

The three points launched the Hammers into 14th place, finishing above Manchester United and Spurs. Finishing 14th isn’t what anyone at the club wanted, but considering the situation we were in, the squad managed to secure the best position they could coming into the closing games.

A full circle moment and appearance for Aaron Cresswell in his final game as a Hammer, Fabianski making his final appearance, alongside Coufal. No involvement for Danny Ings.. which pretty much sums up the underwhelming career he’s had at West Ham. It is expected that a lot of people involved in the starting squad won’t be here next season and to be quite frank, it is what West Ham need.

11 Wins, 10 Draws and 17 Losses, a season to forget and finally the season is over.

Thank you for picking up the cudjel From Nev and keeping the org going...your Father is missed but always will be remembered by us all here.

As for West Ham well as usual the circus kept us entertained if not the football.....Todibo is worrying me more than Mav and if manure came in with £40+million for him i'd snatch there hands off...he is lazy and if not fit after all this time you have to wonder.

Bowen will be annoyed with the season and the Kraut in charge of England but go away have some rest mate and hopefully someone like Munich or bindippers don't come calling.

Cressy what can you say he has been a marvelous servant to our club and the best £3million spent for long time...he deserves a testimonial but the dwarf wont have it the penny pinching git.

So a long summer ahead time to let the nails grow and prepare for whatever is to come because one things for sure trying to predict what we will do is like Michael Fish predicting the weather.

Have a great summer Louis and all my fellow orgers out there. COYI

Well said bike ,and thanks from me Louis, can't have been easy ,but to follow in your father's footsteps is a big compliment to pay him ,RIP.
I agree with the general feeling on here about the silly Sull ,we all thought that when the billionaire Check came in it was only a matter of time time before he was pushed out the door ,but it hasn't happened and you hear zero about him now. That we don't own a ground makes us a laughing stock ,well it does with me anyway ,you want to hear the derision and flack I get down my watering hole from scousers and manua fans ,bastards.
Anyway it's goodbye from me as well just for the 3 months, I'll check in every now and then ,just to see the rumours, hope you all have a very pleasant and peaceful summer.

Unfortunately I am not looking forward to what is going to come. Contrary to popular opinion on the org, I don't think we have a bad squad. Three players need to unecessarily be bought in to replace Cresswell, Vlad and Fabs, all (in my opinion) good for another season as squad players at least. I will be very sorry to see Paqueta and Kudus go as, in the right hands, they are an asset to any team and with Summerville, if he plays to his capabilities, would form a great attacking force. Todibo is fine as a CB and should team up with Aguerd, Mav on the bench and let KIlman go.
None of this is going to happen and I haven't a clue who Potter will bring in. I am not expecting much more than a team of players that will bore the living sh*t out of all of us ala the Curbishley, Moyes eras. This will be no step forward, but two steps back. I'll lay money Moyes Everton finish above us next year.

Louis, as the sun sets on yet another season. Rest assured the Orgers are right behind you. Especially after the year you've had personally. Everything else comes second, including the dreadful campaign the Irons have endured. Some would say self inflicted, with the squad dynamics. Egos battling egos, who knows?

I'm sure Nev would have summed it all up in his own inevitable style, which he has passed down on to you.

So we all go again in 3 months, roll on the madness, roll on the Org family. Roll on the rollercoaster WHUFC ride. But for now lets all have a well earned mental rest.

I thank you....................!
