Hammers Indulge In Parrot-t Talks

West Ham has decided to partake in being one of the several clubs interested in the flying Irishman, Troy Parrott. Despite his immense success at the World Cup qualifying stage and scoring a hat-trick which sent Ireland to the qualification spots, Nuno’s interest runs a lot deeper than a spike of form.

Nuno’s first interest in Troy Parrott spiked through his short stint as a Spurs manager once he first met, at the time, the youth prospect. The forward wouldn’t receive much or any gametime, seeing as a prime Harry Kane was capturing the starting spot, subsequently leading to Parrott being sent to MK Dons.

After the inevitable came along for the Irishman, in the 2024/25 season, he made a move to AZ Alkmaar, where he achieved 25 G/A in his first campaign, which spiked Nuno’s interest in the forward once again, whilst at Nottingham Forest, attempting to sign him, but a fee couldn’t be agreed due to Alkmaar’s reluctance to sell.

However, if a ‘pot of gold’ offer were to be placed for Troy Parrott, AZ Alkmaar would highly consider the proposal, given that they paid €4,000,000 for him initially and the Dutch giants haven’t had a significant sale in a while, but don’t be surprised if a lot of back-and-forth conversations were to arise given the player it’s for.

Taking into account that Parrott has managed 15 G/A in just 14 appearances this season, Nuno's initially rejected interest at Forest could be reconsidered by David Sullivan at West Ham, but it's uncertain whether he would fit the special Sully criteria.

Whilst this link might be Parrot’ed around by a handful of others, the previous connections would suggest it’s got a leg or two to stand on, though you’d hope the club would sign a two-legged striker considering half of them haven’t been!
