Hammers Set To Axe £67 Million Duo In January

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Sun, 16/11/2025 - 11:38

Nuno’s arrival has seen him chase the players he isn’t fond of to the end of the earth until he gets a reaction out of them or until they’re rushed out the door and become far, far away from his sight.

He made his brutal but soft axing of players present when he acknowledged that Nichlas Fullkrug was going to leave the club, so he decided to ignore the Kraut and his ability to play against Burnley and not include him in the matchday squad despite the dire need for forwards.

However, to add on to the January hit-list, Nuno unsurprisingly wants to axe James Ward-Prowse alongside Fullkrug and has recently informed the Englishman that he “should leave” as Nuno’s looking for ‘pace and energy’ in the midfield, of which Ward-Prowse has little to none. As well as not having the required set of basic Football skills needed for the manager, sitting at home accumulating £115,000 p/w is ludicrous and one of the very few things that Nuno and Sullivan could likely agree on… though who knows!

From the first moment walking in at Rush Green, Nuno informed Ward-Prowse that he’d be brutally axed from the squad, but it’s difficult to say it wasn’t inevitable. His time at Forest saw a sour end occur, and his lacklustre performances under Graham Potter and becoming his ‘golden boy’, seeing him bound to start regardless of how he did, didn’t help the light that was already on him.

From what everyone originally suspected that Ward Prowse would be, he’s turned out to… a £40,000,000 luxury player who actually had a superb start to his life at West Ham, but over time, he’s dwindled into nothing more than a failure for the price we paid, and who knows what we could recoup in January.

Numerous clubs are said to be interested in JWP; the one at the forefront is unsurprisingly the manager who initially signed him, that being David Moyes of Everton. Hopefully, the Moyesiah could do his old club some service and help us recoup some funds that we were defrauded for.

With the Kraut & JWP exiting the club, we’ll find ourselves saving a mesmerising £205,000 per week (£10,660,000 per year for the pair!)

Bet Fulkrug is gutted that he was not for the Burnley game as i said Nuno will wrap him up in cotton wool and make sure that he does not get the chance to get injured and miss the January transfer window then we will see how many German clubs come in for him, and I hope he scores a Hatful of goals for his new club because he never fitted at WHU. While he's sitting at home on £90,000 a week I think he will give the younger players a chance to gain Prem experience i.e. Earthy, Marshall and if he wanted to he could put in Kante in and alter the forward line with Souchek in with Wilson it will all be good as long as we get any injuries a decent striker in January, keep hearing about the poor financial state WHU are in and wait for the for the anouncement in December lost 100 million, think Brady has been talking to Rachel Reeves! but if we sell JWP Fullkrug and Rodrigues surely we will have enough money to get a couple of half decent players even read that Álvarez is coming back from Feyenoord

To get 6/7 million for both! JWP i have nothing against him but he is a better championship player now than a prem one but if Moyes stumps up say £15million for him i'd be amazed and happy at the same time...as for Fulkrug it was a transfer that should never of been allowed but it's West Ham it's what we do.

I would agree that he's a luxury we couldn't afford. That said he hit the tarmac running in the early days with assists etc and looked good with dead ball situations but even that element left him with Bowen taking corners etc.

Lack of pace and pairing with Slowczech was a marriage made in hell!

Towards Fullkreg baffles me.. He's a good striker, his stats show that. Same as Scamacca and Haller. Good strikers. Fullkreg also has a strong mentality, a winning mentality, so in that respect I'm surprised Nuno is not utilising him especially watching all the crosses that have been pinging into the box these last two games, not one of which I think Wilson managed to reach.

And a player can’t help it if he keeps getting injured but WHU recruitment program is so bad even now Tralee is a good winger but where does that leave Somerville think he is to small for a Super Sub bit like the problem that we have with Hermansen who I think will go together with JWP and RodririgesWe will get Tralee at a good price but we must get a good striker at the right price

You missed my point. We keep getting good strikers. As you rightly point out, injuries are part and parcelof football. Don't see Deano or Carrol getting much flack for their injuries.
Not sure who had the brainwave of letting Fabs go and bringing in Hermandsen and who is Tralee when he's at home?

Think you may have been mistaken about Carroll not getting flak. Totally made of glass and every little twinge turned into a long term problem. Sure he scored goals which may have limited the abuse a fraction and in that respect he differs from Ze German, but he took a fair amount if I recall.

Should pick him up at a good price as he is out of contact with Fulham at the end of the season much better player than Traylee
