Than they deserve, COYI. We look like we are afraid to lose. The goal might help us.

Well the way we are playing we are no chance on Thursday, Ant has no confidence, our ball control is shot. Moyes needs to do something.

The worst performance of the season. No doubt that the referee was pathetic as that tackle on Zouma should have been a borderline red card. Not surprised that Zouma had to be taken off. What happened to the VAR official? Lanzini was tagged to the ground, falls on the ball and this dummy of a referee gives a hand ball free kick in favour of Brentford. Then a corner should have been awarded to West Ham, but once again he awards the free kick to Brentford. Dear Old Antonio was the root cause of conceding the second goal that killed off the game. Just bring on a youngster from the Under 23 as a centre forward against Lyon. Then Antonio can come on as a substitute in the last fifteen or so minutes to prove himself. He was very pedestrian as well as reckless today. Fornals and Bowen were non existent. Lanzini should not have been substituted as he was creative. Benhrama brought a bit of energy but was a bit too selfish and ended up giving the ball away after one or two brilliant flashes. Coufal was not his normal self. Cresswell did not provide any of his usual precise crosses into the box. Soucek less said the better the beer. Just Dawson and Rice stood out. No wonder that as a result having just two players with some passion has meant that there were no shots on target for the whole of the second half. Now on jitters for the huge midweek game against Lyon!!

I think Moyes needs to take the blame for the recent results. Whether he was responsible for the much needed lack of activity in January remains to be seen.
But Moyes and his persistence to prevail with Antonio has begun costing the team. Yes, we only have 1 striker but Moyes needs to give youth a chance. As far as I'm concerned our season will be over on Thursday night. We will then be relying on others to make the top 7 & qualify for the European Conference.
Such a shame the club did not invest. We need Europe to attract the players. We have proved we can compete but we need more.

Top 8 is the best we can hope for & we should get that,it's not the end of the world in the best league in the world. But massive investment needed in the summer to improve,we have players that are over rated imo

I would give Moyes some credit for turning what was a purely struggling relegation squad into a top six finish last season. At the start of this season he injected some energy to drive the squad to the top of the premier league in the first few games of the season. Now they just seem to be drained of it and the passing just goes sideways and back to the keeper with no real intention. Fabianski cuddles the ball for far too many seconds, and rarely releases it to get a momentum going!!

of hearing about ‘tiredness’. What’s the point in qualifying for Europe if it’s going to affect the rest of our season? They’re all well paid and if they can’t play 180 minutes+ of football in a week then something is dreadfully wrong. Non investment in the squad in January was a HUGE mistake but that’s no surprise with these parasites in charge.
We’ve been here time and time again.
To be beaten home and away by Brentford is NOT top four form.
We’ll be lucky to finish top ten at the rate we are playing at the moment.

Well said Metbobby,it seems now that the league isnt important,as we arent going to be in Europe with our league status,so going all out for that in the cup,but cant see us going all the way to win it,hope im wrong, but if we do that puts us in the Champions League,we are no way near that calibre, without a team overhaul, but that will cost alot, but will that happen,it hasnt yet.

Dont you realise the distance between West Ham and Brentford and in a Luxury coach my god talk about being herded like cattle the poor dears they were clearly traumatised by the experience and that was shown in the performance who are we to criticise until we have walked a mile in there boots!

with all the statements above but i have to say i have enjoyed this season with being in the top 6 for most of it and also playing in europe much better than a relegation battle and being in europe as we know from wolves and Leicester in past seasons it does take it's toll on a small squad but it's still worth it and david moyes has done and is still doing a good job up the hammers !!!!!

We all knew this was coming ,most of us said it even before Christmas, the squad was much to thin ,none investment in the club has caused this spectacular downward spiral, that, coupled with Moyes refusal to take a chance on some decent up and coming talent plus players like Lanz and Benny who cant hold down a regular place and 3 or 4 million pound players that never seem to get a chance ,Kral and Vlasic.
His outright refusal to acknowledge that Ant has lost it ,ages ago ,the same goes for Souchef ,yet week after week they appear to be ist on the team sheet ,its just not acceptable to go 45 minutes without a single shot on target .
Its a real shame the excitement we all felt in the first half of the season ,the dreams of being involved in so much ,only to see it slowly fizzle out , just like the bubbles ,sure, we've still got thursday night and God willing you never know .
Im sick to the back teeth of watching the scum come good ar just the right time ,that p××× k from Korea taking fake photo's .
