Though the signature of Nuno Espirito Santo set the principle of a specific style of play to be used, it also set in stone the inevitable number of players the Hammers would be linked to from the array Nuno’s previously worked with.
Whilst most are simply just twaddle, the link posed for Fulham Winger Adama Traore is in fact real, seeing as the Spaniard is in the last year of his contract and Nuno is expecting the club to take advantage of it.
Adama Traore joined Fulham in the 2023/24 season and has since gone on to play 71 matches and achieved 15 G/A within that period. Whilst those numbers may seem concerning for a regular playing Premier League forward, Nuno didn’t utilise Adama for his G/A capabilities but more so for his playing ability and how he could move the ball forward.
Traore would be signed with the intention of being squad depth and a super sub; he wouldn’t be someone to persistently be in the starting squad. However, in the event that Callum Wilson were to be injured, or no other official striker was available, then you could anticipate that Nuno would play Bowen in that role and Traore on the right.
It’s just the beginning of one of many previous links into Nuno’s extensive club history, but it’s a move that always seemed likely to happen. Nuno also attempted to sign Traore at Nottingham Forest numerous times, but a deal couldn’t be agreed as Traore didn’t want to leave London. - LN

Bowen as striker simply doesn
Bowen as striker simply doesn't work ,just a waist ,strikers are supposed to be big and strong ,although Bows is undoubtedly excellent on his feet he doesn't fall into the role of interceptor of crosses and / or laying off ,he's a one off , brilliant mid field player who is also a top goalscorer .
