Nuno Espirito Santo signs his three year deal with West Ham

Nuno Espirito Santo has been announced as West Ham United manager just a few hours after the sacking of Graham Potter took place.

It is now known that David Sullivan last night decided to sack Potter after an agreement had been reached with Nuno and the funds had been acquired to complete his hiring.

Nuno Espirito Santo has now been handed a three-year deal, in which, upon signing his contract, he said, “My objective is to work hard to get the very best from the team and ensure that we are as competitive as we possibly can be. The work has already started and I am looking forward to the challenge that is ahead.”

No further quotes have been said, but Nuno is expected to be in the dugout against Everton on Monday night, with the club confirming that Nuno will be assisted in the interim by Academy coaches Mark Robson, Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville and Billy Lepine, with a further announcement on his coaching and backroom staff to be made in due course.

After his dismissal at Nottingham Forest, Nuno was always keen to return to managing straight away and was eager for the potential opportunity to manage at West Ham.

He’s a wise coach who’s been around the block, and he certainly knows what he is walking into with a fanbase that is currently at peak hostility whilst sitting 19th in the Premier League.

Nuno is set to take his first training session in charge with the Hammers this afternoon.

He will keep us up. Will it be pretty? No. Will it be what we have been trying to get away from these last ten years? No. We are now back to square one. Enjoy

There you have it then,is there tears about already,or are we looking forward,he did well at forest, and not bad at wolves,it was at the spud that it fell flat...His first change should be put Fabianski back as No 1.

Loves an awkward chairman that's for sure....But hopefully he breaks up the JWP Soucek Rodriguez trio and gives some of the younger players a chance to prove there worth.

Kilman will be ecstatic he's got his old boss who made him captain at Wolves back.

James walking pace, not so much. Frozen out by Nuno at Forest. Will Bowen be worried about possibly losing the captaincy?

My 2 lads are going to the Harry Hill David Dickinson stadium on Monday for the Everton game. Should be interesting...

Unless there is a major change in how our club is run then Nuno will be another manager not backed and thrown under the bus.

Potter was going nowhere but down. Nuno is capable and I think summerville and bowen can provide good counter attacking like he set up at forest. It should be noted that he beat some big clubs last season something Potter wasn't capable of.

I welcome Nuno. Hoping for the best

Its stated that Nunos contract is for 3 years hope there is a good Buyout clause and the contract is water tight his agent is Jorge Mendes one of the most powerful agents in the world otherwise this will be more money that the board have wasted and I will be very surprised, in fact absolutely gobsmacked if Nuno puts up with Sullivan for this amount of time (perhaps with a bit of luck he might not have to) may be we will get new owners, or perhaps this is already happening -well we can all dream. Maybe Nuno is the manager that Kretinsky wants, this is why WHU have acted so quickly and together with Albert Tripp they are going to buy out the Gold families shares this would give them the controlling vote Kretinsky 27% Albert Tripp 8% and AN.OTHER to buy the ex gold shares 12.5% shares. What a vivid imagintion ive got and this only totals 47.5% but Sullivan only owns 35% so this is possible.

Classic Sullivan appointment, knee jerk reaction in recruitment, low ball ugly football with a squad without the defensive skill or midfield pace to deliver.

Classic West Ham, the only team we have beaten this season and we employ their coach! Reminiscent of beating Bury 10 nil in the league cup and then buying their centre back!

Shambles........ Run like a circus!

BS Out!!!
