This Really Is A Great West Ham Team And Manager! 3-1 Away Win!

Mark Lawrenson, despite his recent 'moment of clarity' got it wrong again, maybe he should be renamed Mark Got It Wrong Son! Despite Liverpool's ex -finest's prediction, a Dimitri Payet inspired West Ham United survived a rocky first half which saw Andy Carroll trouping off in an all too familiar fashion, and the conceding of a goal that Adrian will just have to put down as one of life's errors. The Billic lounge lizard quickly snapped in to place during half time, 'contract lengths' were questioned and family members 'healths' were inquired about! However all things seemed to reach for a more beneficial status quo.
The second half was what supporting West Ham United was all about, memories of Brooking and Di Canio in their pomp shone through as The 'D' Man, Dimitri Payet and Enner valencia proved how far above the 'norm' of players in the Barclays Premier League that they are by delivering two of the most exquisite free kicks you will witness in a long time. In between Enner Valencia beautifully turned in a shot that was his trade mark many games ago before loss of form and injuries took their toll, finally, having scored his first goal(s) since September he is beginning to show why he was such a exciting prospect when he was first signed, maybe Slaven's 'lovetouch' is more seductive than Big Sam's Dudley "let's sort this here thing out" on the pitch theory or (Jurgen Klop's Liverpool sub grope thing!).
Whatever, the fact is that the mighty Hammers have clawed their way above the prawn sandwich brigade in to the fifth spot of the cash rich Barclay's Premier League.
Not bad for a team that 'Lawro' tipped for relegation! - Ed

I was beginning to wane on my support of Valencia, finally even voicing to some other teams fans that he was too lightweight and seemed to be lacking the fight required to be a top Premiership player. He finaly delivered two excellent goals, reminding everyone what he's capable of and putting us out of sight of a Bournemouth comeback. Of course the catalyst was the incomparable Dimitri Payet. This guy is already a firm fan fave and is well on his way to West Ham legend status and if he stays and continues to inspire, bamboozle and deliver more of what we've seen so far he will be many a new fans favourite Hammer ever.
It wouldn't be West Ham without a downside and the sight of AC sitting on the ground after his one sprint in the game, this time with a hamstring injury may well be the final nail in his hopes of ever starting a football match again. The guy just doesn't seem capable of stringing any appearances together and I think a suitable replacement in the summer will be key along with a perm RB.
As for Lawro, keep showing yourself up mate, we're West Ham and despite what you seem to think we have a Great team at the minute.

“The manager changed something, but that is why he is the manager and he is really clever about that because he can read the situation,” said the centre-half, who produced another physically-dominating performance. “In the second half, we changed a lot of things.
This speaks volumes about the manager, unlike BFS waiting until the last 15 mins to do anything!!!

Well BFS rarely changed anything anyway. His system was long ball, if you were losing his system was even longer balls and if its last 10 minutes and your losing its non stop long ball and crosses. His game changing sub was always the same. Demel on for o'brien or vice versa
