Has been dreadful his first touch especially, could have had a couple but on the whole a poor first half

Lucky to be just one down at half time. Great save from Randolph to deny Richarlison. Need to get Soucek and Bowen on. Noble and Lanzini are not cutting it in midfield.

Well that's the end of our current winning 'run' and another Cup we're not going to win this season.

To be fair 65 for me Everton have made the best start their a different side to last year ,just shows you what a real world class manager can do

I think it clearly shows why most of this team is not good enough to get in the "1st team". Haller, Yarmo, Lanz and Andersen totally ineffectual and Nobs too slow. Johnson looks reasonable for the future. The rest are decent squad players or better.

Well I'm really looking forward to the Leicester game now.

This is unique with absolutely no substitutions for the full 90 minutes. Were the management shit scared to face a player revolt?? Goodness knows what a Sunday player Anderson has turned into, with his loose touches. The only positivity was his energy to put in a tackle or two. Yes, Noble was too slow, while Lanzini was pedestrian today. The only time he was visible were those missed chances to score. Haller with just one spectacular attempt at goal that brought a great save from Pickford, was all he saw of him. Yarmalenko was not that precise today. Rice is definitely not a centre back. Goodness knows why he was wasted in that position. He brings some forward movement when he plays further up as a midfielder. Snodgrass does not look like he is fully fit, though he really scored a spectacular goal. Hopefully, the team that spanked Wolves will show up against Leicester. Guess Moyes did not want to risk any injuries, and the focus is on the PL.

Our Saturday side would have given them a run for their money

I know its a long long time since any silverware came to this club but i think expectations were a bit high ,i never saw the game but i fear the negativity surrounding it could harm our chances against Leicester, for most fans the Carabou cup is still second to the FA cup and even that one isnt doing well ,the emphasise now seems to be top 6 and a place in Europe's elite. Sunday will tell a story one way or the other ,lets put this defeat behind us and see if we can maintain our recent good form against Leicester

i think we will be fine Burkie, its nearly a completely different side even Rice will be back in the midfield. I guess Johnson has to play and really worried that Nobs will be back, love him as we do hes no Prem player anymore :o(

That was pretty much the b - side last night albeit an expensive one!!only pluses for me were johnson at RB & Randolph, also snoddy possibly! Nobes legend but his prem days are pretty much behind him

Nobs is a legend 65 and needs now to "move up stairs". Im still angry that Bug Eyes didnt make a substitution. At 2.1 with 20 mins to go I would have brought on Ogbonna and release Rice into the midfield, take off Lanz, Fornals for Nobs and Bowen for Anderson but sat just behind Haller. Today we would have been discussing a quarter final and whether or not to play the A or B team in that fixture!!!

Regarding Nobes ,i coulnt agree more with the general opinion that its almost over for him ,i think it really showed against Wolves for the shot time he was on ,rarely seen a player so out of his depth
