So Who Makes Way For Zouma?

It really is a 'bit previous' to be discussing this topic, but IF all the sudden hurdles that have recently appeared are cleared in the Kurt Zouma to West Ham from Chelsea transfer, who will make way for the 26, soon to be 27 year old, in the starting line up? The current incumbents, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson, are creaking at the seams age wise, but use their experience very effectively and make up for their lack of pace by intelligent positioning.

However with Ogbonna now approaching the twilight of his career, as well as Dawson who is just a couple of years younger, there is definitely the need to add to the back line. Issa Diop is a Marmite type of player, but one who hasn't really been given a proper run in the team, but playing in conjunction with Zouma might just unleash the excellent player that lurks there, somewhere within.

Zouma's 'knee issue' that has only recently come to light, is as a result of a well publicised cruciate injury sustained AND recovered from several years ago. The majority of professional footballers carry some sort of injury that they 'manage' throughout their entire careers, so the suggestion that Zouma 'plays in pain' is nothing new out of the ordinary.

The deal to bring Zouma in has rather overshadowed the club's efforts to bring in their original principal transfer target, a striker! Perhaps it is all part of a cunning plan, perhaps not, either way there are only four and a bit more days to endure of the nonsense, although of course the free agents will still be available after the window closes, there are plenty of freebies out there, Jack Wilshere anybody? - LN

So Who Makes Way For Zouma?... No one, at this stage. Its all part of building a bigger squad with quality players. I see The Moyesiah adding to the sqaud with another midfielder and hopefully a forward... Note I didnt say a striker. we have a fantastic 11 that plays like a team, we will get injuries etc so the squad must grow but with QUALITY!
