Sullivan Deviates His Eyes From Potter

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 16/09/2025 - 08:20

West Ham suffered a brutal defeat against Tottenham a few days ago, and since the 3-0 result, many have taken to social media to discuss once again the same looming question about Graham Potter that seems to be coming up more frequently than ever at the moment.

Should Graham Potter be sacked?

The Hammers have now suffered yet another home loss, meaning that the club still only have two home victories since the beginning of 2025, those two being against Fulham and Leicester City.

If the board were to decide to sack Graham Potter, there are numerous names on the market. The Portuguese duo of Nuno EspĂrito Santo and Jose Mourinho are the two most popular names to be brought up; however, it's been revealed that Kieran McKenna paid a visit to the West Ham boardroom after the Spurs game.

The current Ipswich boss was invited to the London Stadium and has been a name that's been placed on the everlasting, dreaded shortlist.

Kieran McKenna is known to have Tottenham links, being an ex-player and coach for the North London side, but it has been confirmed that he was there because of West Ham and not to watch his old club.

Whilst his name might be placed on the shortlist, Hammers fans will know very well that Sully doesn't pay for managers, and the appeal for a free manager would always take priority, especially seeing as he'd already have to take another pay-out to sack a manager and the backroom staff if he were to get rid of Potter, who's contract currently runs out in 2027.

It appears more and more that the club are starting to eye up options elsewhere, and targets are being looked at. If Graham Potter hadn't managed a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, we could've been in a very different scenario and one that most likely could've seen him on the chopping block, as in that instance, we would've been bottom of the Premier League.

The big question the club faces now is 'how much longer do you give Graham Potter before you make the finalised decision?' Is it a simple decision? Or will the Hammers once again find themselves in a similar scenario as with Lopetegui, who managed to do the bare minimum to keep his job as long as possible, but at the end of the day... the storm will always follow the clouds

Should he be given those games? well no is the answer but Sullivan will not sack him before then and God help us if he actually manages a win against Palace/Everton/Gooners because we will be stuck with him the rest of the season if he did!.

Who will he replace him with if he did sack him well any freebie going or Salthouse client it is the only way Sullivan does business.

Well Nuno is a free agent for the moment. Better act quickly as he won't be for long!

Stick with Potter if Nuno is your preferred choice. His football is no better, a Moyes Mk2 and no-one was happy with that.

Gets the best out of what he's got. His counter attacking style would suit wan bissaka, summer ville.

Potter is itching to go back to his useless back 5. Loss to spurs will no doubt see him do that.

Probably right VAR. Sullivan I believe has history with Jose. I don't think he'd touch him with a bargepole after comments he's made before. Probably get Uncle Harry back...PMSL

Just downloaded my ticket for the palace match and i will deffo be going to the demo to try and get that dildo dwarf out but I have noticed that they have already sent me my Brentford ticket, Wonder why that is?? he knows there is going to be a lot of supporters boycotting that game so i will have to send it back on ticket exchange otherwise it will massage the statistics for how many fans didn't show up I was very tempted to buy 5x1 kids for a quid tickets but i suppose that will make WHU attendance figures better so i wont be doing that one. I think that h Potter will go after the end of the Everton game and a 6-0 hiding from arsenal like last season, plus the international break should just about do it and i hope his backroom staff Piss of with him, any coach that defends with 4 players on the front post on that corner against Spurs deserves to be sacked. Tbh I hope Potter goes after the palace match but I cant see that happening
