West Ham United seem to have gotten their cavalry sorted. The starting squad as well as the options available off the bench have bolstered our squad massively and helped us have the edge in games that we’ve needed, such as in our 3-0 victory over Derby.
However, one point of trouble is, do West Ham almost have too many good players?
Looking at the bench on Friday evening, it was: Herrick, Walker-Peters, Kante, Pablo, Scarles, Austbø, Golambeckis, Orford, Ajala
And it begs the question, where is space going to be made available for the likes of the returning Tomas Soucek, loanee Adama Boiro and potentially Soungoutou Magassa who has recently been in training.
Injuries of course will play a factor across the season but it feels that the Hammers will consistently see ‘good’ players not be involved in a matchday squad, simply due to a lot of quality that the youth hold.
Seeing the likes of Ajala, Orford, Golambeckis, Kante and Scarles all on the bench knowing that they can come on and make an impact is glorious, something that the Hammers haven’t had in a while, but it doesn’t beg the question, is there going to be room for others?
It is expected that West Ham United will also terminate Maxwell Cornet’s contract in the near future, whose contract was set to run out at the end of the season. Meaning he certainly won’t be involved in the Matchday squad.
Positive signs to be seen, of course, but for every player that comes in, another must make way.

but with the games coming thick and fast Louis we will be able to rotate the players knowing that the in coming player will have their own skills to add to the team something we have not had in the past so keeping the team fresh another luxury

Yes, players who may come in for injuries which is why they are on the bench. Possibly only Austbo and Ajala could be called gamechangers but its still really early doors to know for sure. Personally I'd have Solomon on the bench and, not that I rate him highly, but where is Areola? I wouldn't say Herrick looked a particularly safe pair of hands in his cup game, especially his headless charge upfield to clear a ball. And what has Mayers done to upset Nuno

I think KWP was a game changer charging forward. All credit to him, he had a really good game coming off the back of a torrid time gainst Dong / Bolton.
I would also sight Kante as a potential game changer, he's box to box, makes tackles and makes great runs and prepared to shoot. He's a problem for SlowCzech getting back in the team. That said... TS is Nutty Nuno's favourite

But reports seem to agree with you that KWP had a good game. What about the rest of his games? Not all teams are going to roll over like Wrexham, who by all reports were very poor.
As for your comment below, on the BoM, a 6-0 win is always going to generate a bit of an atmosphere, especially with the drivel we've had to put up with, pretty much ever since we moved there. Still doesn't change the fact that it isn't and never will be a football stadium, the sightlines are crap, it's in the wrong place and unfortunately has turned me into an armchair fan. I really DO miss going to games but not sure what it will take to tempt me into getting another ticket to that place.

Correct - a 6-0 win is always going to generate a bit of an atmosphere and thats what was saddly lacking in the past not just a big win but quality of footie that WH fans have been crying out for in years!
Agree that it doesn't change the fact that it isn't and never will be a football stadium but as I have always said we are stuck with it and no going back. Staverly or someone else will fix it, the business opportunity is vast.

For all the critics of the BoM , Friday night was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant, no tourists, no popcorn munchers, plenty of proper 100% West Ham supporters. I love to see the families now able to attend, nothing better than seeing the next generation coming along with parents and grandparents... marvelous!!! COYI's!!!!!⚒️

As for the team/squad, plenty of games and rotation will be the key as Bikey says. Strength in depth is fantastic to have at last...COYI..!

We have a decent squad, its needed for the onslaught of games, its by no means prem level but... we are not in The Prem... Yet!!
If or when we go up there will need to be changes. Just look at Coventry, the Prem is brutal!
