'Three Game Blame' Upcoming For Lopetegui Again

Yesterday's result was expected but still disappointing. Almost no fans would've gone into the London Stadium or turned on the TV and sat there expecting West Ham to win, but what I would've loved to have seen, would've been a bit of personality, a bit of passion even when losing.

In the first few minutes, we had an opening chance that Bowen played across the box, but Paqueta missed.

The first goal was conceded by poor defending, but we followed that up with some enthusiasm, Kudus hit the post nearly equalising, but from there, it all went wrong.

It was as simple as 1,2,3. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we found ourselves conceding three goals in 14 minutes, leaving us three down at the break with nothing to hope for in the second half. Todibo and Fullkrug were introduced at half-time, which didn't make much sense really... why bring on a centre back at 3 down? Why would we not start Todibo if we were playing a 3/5 back-formation?

The remainder of the match was just appalling, with constant loss of the ball and gifting Liverpool chances. Areola made a few great saves, which kept it from being six or seven, but on another day, it could've been more brutal than it already was.

After Lopetegui's predictable post-match press conference in saying, "We need to improve" or "We have to do better", the anger continued on social media until we finally got an update on where the board stands in regards to the manager.

It appears to be that we are back with the three-game scenario yet again! One of which David Moyes went through many times, the same goes for Lopetegui already. He survived last time by the skin of his teeth against Wolves; now he faces the 'pressure test' against Manchester City, Aston Villa and Fulham. It is comical that this is the way the club operates, in a bigger picture, what effects do these three games have? If we lose two and draw one, is that good enough?

It seems to be that we are delaying the inevitable. You can't have stability in the club if the person at the wheel isn't one the owners trust, and they clearly do not trust him as they're constantly contemplating and on the fence about whether he was the right appointment or not.

The active search for other managers reeks of a lack of faith in Lopetegui.

we all have seen enough with lack of tactics, reports of in house fighting, get a new manager in now why put off the inevitable he has had a chance and not up to our expectations, thank him for trying and pass the baton to some one else i don't bother even listening to his post match comments any more

That tells you all....get stuffed by a limp Citeh and knocked out of the F.A. cup by a villa side not in great form manager gets sacked and so the next clown to join this circus will come through the door believing the shit that comes out of the Sullivan/Brady show.

Other board members silent as they just want to see the money still rolling into there coffers and so it goes on and will go on whilst supporters turn up for the drug they need and they al no it. Time for those fans to go cold Turkey for a month minimum that would get the reaction you all want but sadly it will never happen...our clubs owners like all other clubs owners no they have a captive audience and it is a drug that cannot be helped.

You all know that i never have and never will set foot in that souless bowl it is not and it never will be West Ham...i go to the odd away game now and then where the real West Ham fans and not the tourists go and they are fun and as passionate as ever but home games never again.......i gave up my season ticket after our last game at Upton Park.....40 years and it was a massive decision but i never once believed or trusted Sullivan and Brady...Gold for me was the lesser of the evils but was as Culpable for what is now destroying our club.

The pressure at that club is more intense than at ours because of who they are...and employing a manager with the same players who have ruined that club was a recipe for disaster and he showed poor judgement to take it on when he did.

Would it of been different at our place? who knows as he would of had a summer to prepare and have input as into the players he would like for his system....but we got Robertos older brother IMO and showing that shit runs in the family

The intensity at any club when not doing well is equal be it Man City or Carlisle Utd so I'm not of the impression that he is under any more pressure than Lopetegui. If anything. Loppy probably has more because this is "his" squad.

we got thumped 0-5 by Liverpool and here we are a few days later its barely mentioned by the media just a case of job done by Liverpool West Ham need to try a little harder..... With Man Utd and the money the hype the rep they have world wide even the slightest hiccup is put under the microscope and blown up for the whole world to see....now do the fans of Carlisle Utd or our club or any other care no of course not we have a laugh and move on but again the hype the media do around clubs like that does make it a poison Chalice and the like i say the media laps it and hypes it up more than at any other club.

Look at Liverpool it was nonstop about Klopp leaving and how can the club get anyone anywhere near as good as him the media again went into hype mode about a looming disaster and yet Slot has been refreshing and so all goes quiet....

Ive watched Ipswich and what a team there, regardless of where they are in the league, they are a team of players together,a good manager, and want to play together,a pleasure to watch. We are a club full of misfits,on the pitch, right up to the board,Sullivan whos cxxt struck,Kretinsky has more interests else where, dont know why he is here at all,as he could of bought the club,Golds daughter bless her,has wanted to off load her shares but no one wants them,i dont include her in this, through sad circumstances inherited it all, then theres Brady what the fxxk is she playing at.Sorry i have ranted a bit lately, but the whole thing about this club is getting on my tits we are just not moving forward.

People often complain when managers 'aren't given time' etc. Ie need time to learn bout players, the squad, tactics etc.

In this modern world, with all stats, info etc, a manager who has a full preseason needs to start with an identity, an intensity

This guy sends the team out as if its la liga. Sun loungers n cocktails. There's no rolled up sleeves, no intensity.

I don't care if Liverpool are flying at the top. At home v anyone we need the 'fortress' mentality. You come out with energy, with zest. Like a Brentford or Ipswich. Organised and clear gameplay

0.5. He's gotta go. Forget three more games where he'll scrape a result. We're in the prem league. We should have a manager with a clear plan and showing fans what he's about.

Agree VAR 100%. Coupled with the boardroom total inadequacy and lethargy. We are a club in turmoil from top to bottom..

That is all we buy... instead of looking at what is good for the team and will work for instance in midfield.....Rodriguez is a freebie and a world cup winner so lets offload Flynn Downes as he is not up to the job and wheel this guy in on bigger wages...... whilst i do not claim Downes is an answer can anyone tell us Rodriguez was? on the striking front Delap goes under the radar and like Boogers mentions he is a hell of a player...But no we need someone with a flashy price tag or a big NAME to make the fans feel like we are doing something.... We need a proper professional scouting team because teams like Brighton who find or develop players like Ferguson/Pedro/Enciso..... Brentford with Mbuemo/Wissa/Norgaard.... Bournemouth with Evanilson/Semenyo/Unal/Kluivert.... there are more examples but we have to stop the big egos and think we are better than these clubs because clearly we are not.

Never heard of any of them except Kilman or Foderingham before they came. And they're hardly "names". Flyn Downes WASN'T up to the job so no great loss. Ward Prowse however.........

We all know Sullivan doesnt like to pay compensation so a lot will depend on whats in the contract. Lets hope it allows him to be got rid of if he fails this season. Just dont see anything happening before

Also reports coming out that the board members all have different choices as to who would replace him. If the board aren’t grownnup enough to agree then we have no hope. Sullivan doing his usual and wanting to wait until end of season.

Prepare for a bumpy ride the rest of this season.
