The trouble with a "happy pitch invasion" is that it kicks off other stuff. I've heard of seats being ripped up and thrown, and gangs of Villa fans having to be threatened with batons to stop them trying to attack Brum fans. Fans including families.

But it still could have been on TV mate. Could have taken the Bradford v Reading early kick off. Ridiculous that they let it be this late. Though exactly the same the other week with the Lpool v Everton Derby on a Sat night. Madness!

When you've had the season Villa has had and you get the chance to go to Wembley for a cup semi it can be a very emotional thing. As long as nobody gets hurt and fans don't fight it's a one off, Villa will get fined and let's hope that will be the end of it.

Life bans for the pitch invaders (total bunch of morons) and Villa kicked out of the cup. A punishment like that might just get past the 6" thick skulls of the neanderthals that still go to football and keep them firmly behind the advertising hoardings where they're supposed to be.

A pissy little fine will do nothing to discourage this type of behaviour in the same way fines handed out to clubs in Europe found guilty of racist behaviour do nothing to change the mentality.

I just loved how Villa Park has been half empty for the last few seasons now and all of a sudden their fans decided to wake up and actually show up for a game.
