West Ham Badge Hunt & Sponsor Sorted

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Tue, 30/06/2026 - 11:19

At last! It feels as if the corruption amongst the West Ham world is healing. The club has announced that a new badge will be introduced in the 2028/29 season and will be voted on by fans once the designs are released.

Many fans have been excited at the prospect of this, and it does well and truly feel as if it is a task long overdue - despite our new badge only being incorporated for a decade so far, it’s been a decade too long.

It was a badge designed for a financial boost, and it felt as if the club was rebranded for the sake of business, not for identity.

The only other talking point to discuss is whether the historical castle should return to the new badge. A badge tends to represent history and identity, of which the castle is, but seeing as we don’t actually have a castle anymore, some say it defeats the purpose - It’ll be a damn close vote come the decision time!

As per the club’s website, the consultation will commence with a detailed discussion with the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) and, should they provide positive feedback, a further consultation will take place with a wider group of supporters. This will include all:

2026/27 Season Ticket Holders (for men’s and women’s teams)

2026/27 Claret Members

Supporters who attended more than five home matches in the 2025/26 season

The consultation process will run throughout the 2026/27 season.

As well as the not so wonderful badge being changed, West Ham have also confirmed that BoyleSports will remain as the front shirt sponsor for the 2026/27 season and should West Ham get promoted on the first time of asking, the club will have to seek a new sponsor as the new betting sponsor rules have officially come into play in the Premier League.

This is a good news story as for the first time in many years the board is not just listening to the fans but also reacting, this example and the ticket price reduction shows they are at least trying.

As for the badge, I dont go along with the opinion that it marks the start of the GSB BoM era, personally I like the badge, just remove LONDON or add EAST LONDON and I am happy. As for bringing back the fairy tale Disney Castle... Forget it !!!

I agree. The castle is unnecessary and the badge is uncluttered. As said, just add "East" to the "London". Just make sure the club starts bringing back the sky blue which seems to be disappearing but by bit.
