i think he's fast becoming the key component in our side alongside payet. must say when i first saw him thought there was a lot of work to be done here and the fee paid was pretty high. looking at how he has adapted to the prem league now i can say that we need to hang onto him for as long as possible. he's different to most players, he has great physical strength and energy. he gets up and down the pitch endlessly, always throwing himself onto the end of chances in the box, is great in the air…in short the mans a beast on the field. whoever scouted this man out did a great job, and well done to the club for bringing him in. teams can't handle him.

I've said before this guy is my fav player ATM, you're right teams can't handle him. Maybe being biased but when he first came in his touch and control wasn't the best but seems to have ironed this out very quickly. While we are at it big up to Slav who has got Collins playing his best FOOTBALL ever and improved nobles shooting and passing.
Good thread Dicksy!
Was thinking the same earlier about "Big Mick" (nice 1 RED!!)..
A few of us on here were wondering why not give him a try? earlier in the season, questions were being asked-"was he hiding out with lord lucan?!!" ;)
But on a serious note,he is as important to our team as payet...we need to tie him down to a long term deal sharpish...
Cresswell, antonio, sam byron, there is talent in the chumps after all!!
Also agree ginge has been a rock this season, ogbonna as well (will winston take his place?) not on this form he wont....we are strong in every position & have ample cover as well...Happy Days,Happy Hammers!!
If big mick isn't dreamy
If big mick isn't dreamy enough I've just heard his mum stopped him join a bunch of cock knockers in white!
Just read that too RNI. Smart
Just read that too RNI. Smart lady
there is such BALANCE in the team at the moment
Antonio -- great strength and work rate, Noble -- consistency and calm cool leadership, Payet -- guile and silky touch, there's oodles of pace up front whether it is Sakho, Valencia, Emmenike, pace in the midfield in Moses, Kouyate, Obiang, a backbone in Ogbonna, Reid and Collins; true wingbacks in Byram and Cresswell. Carroll for a change up front if needed, Song if needed in a holding role. And then we have Oxford and some of the young ones still to come. But to come back to the thread -- Antonio is great, and having Payet makes him even better.
Too me (and I only saw motd)
Too me (and I only saw motd) knowing our players I rather think 3 at the back suits our balance with kouyate in defence.
I thought Emmenike
did a great job up front, all the players were 10 out 10, the way we wanted the second ball last night was great to watch. Coming back to Antonio, i've said it before, but we have to hang on to him.
Emenike - so close to nicking
Emenike - so close to nicking the ball from Lloris, you cant fault his work rate and running! Antonio is a real gem of a player
What's that coming over the
What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? A monster ( or maybe big mick)
Agree about emineke!
Ok he hasnt scored in the last 2 games but he offers a lot as a frontman, got nifty footwork as well,i hope we continue with him...
Antonio, what a find
I posted earlier this season about him not getting a start, then Moses got injured and he's grabbed his chance with both hands. I would imagine when Slav picks his team now, he's one of the first names alongside Payet that's written down. The man is a beast and Premier defenders don't like strength and pace, as it frightens the life out of them. Long may it continue (PS:- Not sure if SUGO read this site, but get him tied down to a new long-term contract ASAP.
i remember
And to be honest, Moses isn't half bad. He's an improvement over what we had on the wings last season -- wasn't it still Jarvis and Downing?
You're right
there ashes. Moses, though it pretty inconsistent, so I'm not fully convinced by him. Jarvis was £10 million wasted in my opinion, never stepped up to the next level. Downing was a decent buy for the money, about £6 million and we got £5.5 million (up to £7 if boro get promoted), on selling him, so good business.
correct
our bench even with all the injuries is twice as good as last year.
That's a real bonus for us
That's a real bonus for us too. Last season it was the exact same players constantly coming on, you just knew what was going to happen and when. This season we've cover all over and the players willing to work hard and do a job. Good to see Oxford come on and do another good shift against a side fighting for the title. Will do his confidence the world of good.
Antonio, what a find!!!
Great Antonio
I think what is most great about him is that he puts his head down and fly's, sometimes he is 100% committed and others it is just about his wonderful instinct.
beauty and the beast
Dribbles per game this season by tricky micky, second only to Payet.
Oh oh oh he's magic, you know
Oh oh oh he's magic, you know, michail Antonio
Sung by forest fans coming to a London site near you very soon.
Good ring to it that red

Confidence basically is all
Confidence basically is all Antonio needed. His record at Forest was very good the only question mark was whether he could do the same in the Premiership. All but 3 or 4 clubs from the Premier looked at him according to what I heard on MoTD last night and Slaven Bilic's scouts saw something the rest did not!!! One of the best buys we have made this season alongside Payet and Lanzini for me!
