I'm gonna keep my powder dry until (if!) we get everyone fit and available. The way Sam sets the side up at that point will decide whether I want a new manager next season or not.
But seriously, the problem is always the devil you know -- it's easy for me to say get rid of Sam, but hard to say realistically who, among those available, I'd want as his replacement.
He basically still plays the same way even when all players are fit. Since Carroll and Nolan have come back the quality has not been there so once again Big Sam has been found out as a one trick pony ie the long ball. Valencia and Sakho together up front is the future with Kouyate Song and Poyet in the middle not Nolan and Noble which has seen little return in the last half dozen matches. Amifatano is also a very good underused player and letting Zarate go and keeping Cole tells me that Big Sam does have to go as he really does not know how to change from big front men.
He had to play more of a passing game with Valencia and Sakho and putting Downing behind them was brilliant, but with Nolan and Noble in the team Downing goes wide and we lose the midfield. It's bloody obvious to me and it seems David Sullivan as well so I see him going by the end of the season especially if we fizzle out in the league and lose in the FA Cup!
that's why SUGO were only looking at loan deals this transfer window. Of course, if we were to beat Manure and get to the FA Cup final, well that might change things. But, I reckon anything less than 6th place AND a trip to Wembley and he's gone. It is clear he was the only one that wanted Fletcher, and the club refused to be held to ransom.....good on SUGO. I still can see a pairing of Sherwood & Sheringham as a potential number 1 & 2.....or a foreign coach....Klopp could soon be available.
Sheringham seems to have been something of a revelation: there's something called attacking football. Completely agree about Fletcher, and glad to see that SUGO held the line.
I have a lot of respect for Big Sam because he has done a pretty decent job since he started, but I cannot lie i hope he is gone at the end of this season.
The man has one way that he loves to play but most hammers fans hate and its gone past its sell by date even with his most ardent fans.

Yep spot on Bondsy, ever thing I was thinking .
I just hope the board don't give him two more season as under him the team will just not move forward .
Welome back, Bondsy
Great to have your observations again. As you say, this one is bloody obvious to everyone except Sam.
Obvious to you Bondsy
Very Very Obvious to me too.
Downing is world class but has been made to look average because of Big Sams insistence to play his beloved few.
I think he's a gonna
