The Manchester United game

It seems likely we will be short in experienced defenders for this game. What should be our tactics? Is there any point following Sam's instincts and trying to stifle ManU's potent attacking force? I say NO! Their weaknesses are all at the back, keeper aside they have looked, quite frankly, rubbish in defence. Let us not allow them to dictate the way this game is played, let's set up as offensively as possible, without being rash (something Sam Allardyce has never been accused of). ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! COYI!

it could be dodgy if they adopt the same tactics they played against Bradford , throwing in high balls , he might have no option but to include the inexperienced Burke at center half , he had him on the bench a couple of weeks ago , i think it depends on one thing , whether or not Sakho plays , this guy is gold dust he would unsettle them from the stat

I doubt he'll risk Burke from the start, more likely to put Kouyate in at centre-half as he's done that job before. Unfortunately that gives him more reason to start Nolan (who should only be a sub these days), but I would prefer Downing (at the point), Amalfitano, Song and Noble in midfield, with Valencia and Sakho up top. That's as close as we can get to the formation we played when beating City and Pool earlier in the year. We shall see...

Is sakho eligible for the game?Im hoping the crowd gets behind the team (this is a fixture i normally go to) unfortunately not tomorrow. They are on a run of form so wont be easy, but im going for a 2-1 win for the mighty hammers..

I don't think even the biggest Senegalese or Swiss liars could claim Sakho shouldn't be playing for West Ham... so yes I'm sure he will be available (if fit). 2-1 sounds good to me! But will Sam seek to squeeze Kev into the side? I suspect so :-(

Yep i think he will go for nolan again. Not quite sure what sam sees in him that the rest of us cant!He has the odd good game, about 1 out of 10 :) .im not one for slagging off our own but most of the time i watch chicken kev he either gives the ball away too much or is pedestrian.i hope he proves me wrong & has a blinder...

have you noticed when watching on the telly , after the first 15 mins he hardly gets a mention , its like perminatly playing with 10 men , and then he brings on Carlton and we appear to go down to 9

one thing thats very gratifying 65 is i never ever thought Carlton was any good , but had to listen to all that bullshit about , " oh he's a great club man" and "he took a drop in wages " and "he gives 100 per cent " but now at last i think most fans would agree , as for Kev well its just the years have caught up on him , he was a half daysent player, and has scored some lovely goals , i'll always remember a couple of years ago when Carroll headed on and the ball came over his shoulder , he smashed the net with a volley , cant remember who against for the life of me

My Boss is a Man u supporter and it would be great to hear the sound of silence on Monday morning. With the injuries we have it is not going to be easy. Would love to see CC come on and score the winner considering the way he was treated on that Deadline day fiasco.

Sam plays Sakho and Valencia with Downing at the point. Song, Kouyate and Amalfitano complete the midfield for me, unless we have no centre-halves. I heard that Ginge will play even if he needs a pain injection. Haven't heard anything certain about Reid or Tomkins. Would prefer Tomkins right now. Might be too big a match to throw Reece Oxford in from the start. I hope both Cresswell and Jenkinson can play -- that would give us some pace and versatility. I'd fancy our chances with that team. Nolan, Noble, O'brien, Demel ... I'm afraid if all four play then we don't stand a chance. Rather see Poyet than Nolan. Hell, we've got 36 points, what do we really have to lose even if we start Oxford? It's time to look towards the future, Sam, not the past.

But he wants to prove ever one else wrong and he was right all along, and in doing so we are slipping back down the league. I would think no other manger in the league would pick Nolan now as a starter .

It kinda makes you doubly angry that Sam insists on starting Nolan. He got 94 minutes today. No goal. Everyone knows he can't defend. Everyone knows he can't make a defence splitting pass. Everyone knows he's got no pace. So what is left? Supposed to be that famous goal-scoring ability. But now that is gone, too. And Sam -- EVERYBODY KNOWS IT EXCEPT YOU!!!
