When West Ham United's record £45 Million signing Sebastien Haller was sold on to Ajax for a £25 Million loss, many fans thought good riddance to a player who was clearly NOT suited to the particularly frenzied pace of the Premier League. However Haller thrived in the Eredivisie on his arrival inHolland and more importantly set the Champions League on fire by breaking the record for the most goals scored in an initial group stage.
Haller's exploits since leaving the Irons had many questioning David Moyes' wisdom in letting him go, especially as Moyes has as yet failed to sign a replacement for the Ivorian International. Tuesday evening's game between England and the Ivory Coast promised to show how far and how much Haller would be missed by those in East Loindon as his team squared up to Declan Rice's England.
Well we are not exactly sure, but are of the opinion that Haller touched the ball on only FIVE occassions during his entire game, before being hauled off near the end. If anyone needed further proof of how unsuited Haller is to the 'English' game, then this match proved to be a perfect example of how inept and slow Haller is when having to play at a high octane pace.
Hopefully fans can now see that Moyes was indeed right to get rid of Haller. it's just a pity he couldn't or wouldn't bring in a replacement. - LN

Haller Horror?
Looking at the teams I expected Cote d'Ivoire to challenge England, but was overall disappointed with them and the contest was over after the (Harsh) red card.
IMHO you cannot blame the Striker (Haller) for not getting the ball fed to him.
Not to mention Declan was on top form and showed why he's a £150mil.
For me, this game was no reflection on Haller.
I have no time for the
I have no time for the England circus, waistcoat Wally or the FA. But, I did specifically want to watch this game for the obvious reasons. Reason 1 Le Merde who didn't let me down reinforcing everything I've written about him.
Reason 2 was to see if Big Dec would get the Captains armband and take me back to the good old days of Bobby Moore. Well that one is still TBA.
Stuff Le Merde, Big Dec put in a performance that was Pirlo like, Guardiola at his best back in the day. If he was Spanish or Italian the Footballing world would be licking his boots. Yes he really is special, calmness personified, like a Rolls Royce, what a performance.....
Didn't need to watch it
Haller the worst signing in our history & nothing will change that statistic
I didnt watch the game either
I didnt watch the game either 65......You certainly know my views on him also mate.
Sure do mate
It's like some Westham fans want him to turn into Messi so they can say we didn't play to his strengths! Me,you & Boogers have always been adamant about this bloke & I think between us each following westham for 50 years plus,we have a bit of a clue whats required from a 45 million pound 'Striker!!'
Agreed
there 60 years an Irons fan i would rate him with radford who we got from the arse
Round Peg, Square Hole
Just like Moyes, Ivory Coast played Haller as a lone striker and just as at West Ham hardly got the ball to him unlike his goalscoring exploits in a two man attack such as at Ajax or Eintracht, Auxerre, Utrecht and the Champions League. For that reason I find it strange that fans are on his back when the obvious reasons for his time at not scoring lie elsewhere. Get over it. Haller is scoring for fun again and not for a manager who refused to adjust his thinking to produce resuklts for the team.. Strangely enough, Hallers goalscoring record is on a par with a fans favourite who managed to kid them for over nine years that he was a striker. I give you the legendary Carlton Cole. Now THERE was a kidder!
He
is a lazy git deluded simple and moyes is a good manager unlike your picture of fat sam simple good players need to work not wait for things to happen hence a lazy git and this is English foot not european stuff
Totally Agree NHH
I couldn't have put it better...as for Carlton at least he put the effort in!
Agreed there Hammers
he did
