Back Home Back On Loan - Playmaker Signed

Submitted by Louis Nixon on Thu, 20/08/2026 - 15:35

West Ham United are set to confirm yet another signing after progressing with another deal before the Charlton game on Saturday at the London Stadium.

Today, a breakthrough has been reached for playmaker Divine Mukasa to join the Hammers on loan from Manchester City for a season, with no option or obligation to buy. Divine Mukasa spent over ten years in the West Ham academy before departing, and since joining Manchester City, he's been able to develop further and is now set to join the Hammers on loan.

Divine Mukasa went on loan to Leicester City last season, joining the Foxes in January, where he made 15 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists.

Nuno has been looking for a playmaker, and with West Ham's limited funds and wanting to spend elsewhere, that is why a loan deal has been stuck for the 18-year-old.

A medical has been set for today, with an expected official announcement tonight or Friday morning.

Seeing as Divine Mukasa is just 18, this still allows the Hammers to pursue another loan deal if they would like to for other positions, as a club is only allowed to have two players aged 23 or over on loan.

0n loan and under 23 yrs as you say Louis no further restrictions absorbed by the club ,must have shown some potential in the past for city to have signed him ,so wish him well and hope he gets a fair chance to play

Ten men couldn't carry, couldn't carry Lampard.. Klint!!!

We seem to be getting in loan and cheap players that just speaks volumes the board have been lying again to get season tickets sold we are so skint all the players sold are for paying off some of our enormous debt.As for nuno what planet is that man on saying that we were in control of the Burnley game for 80 minutes we were lucky to draw that in the end it was all Burnley fleming on his own should have scored 5 if nuno keeps sitting back if we get a lead forget being promoted next season nuno is delusional he just doesn't learn we should have just started afresh and got rid of him i would have explored getting someone like Craig Bellamy in he gets what us fans are all about players giving 100% for the badge dreams i know but surely it's not impossible if nuno cocks up against Charlton his days will be numbered i hope?

Getting farmed out too soon mate thats why,no thought of building a team from grass roots, and having years of success with them,no would rather have a first team of misfits, then buying in and hoping to fill the gaps, its stupid.

Loaning AWB to Villa when they have recieved £51m for Konsa is surely the worst bit off business ever.
We need the money as we now need to find a replacement. Or is Veltman to be cover?
If Diouf goes. I think we need at least 4 playes in. This all seems a very scatter gun approach. I hope Harry Soutter does not rock up. Kilman mk 2.
