so its coming round to the time of year where managers especially the foreign managers start to harp on about the need for a break over the festive season....just yesterday I had read that LVG was complaining about his players being tired and burnt out...so here we are the end of October 10games into the season and those poor pampered players are tired and fatigued....some of them have even had to travel into Europe and the poor dears must suffer in first class I mean how can you stretch your legs out up there....anyway the age old debate continues shall we have a two week break over Christmas or not.....I would simply say not because its tradition but if they ever get there way then I would put in place a ruling that forbids teams and players to play any kind of footy during the break this of course would stop the lucrative fixtures the money men would love and involve flying half a world away to play...and of course that is the real reason for wanting a break to increase a clubs commercial standing somewhere in the world.so you have a 2 week break then what players will of lost match fitness so need time to adjust again and what if it snows those two weeks off could turn into 4/5/6 weeks then you are either extending a season which is nigh on impossible with all the international comps that take place so you end up maybe playing 2/3 times a week and you will hear this is terrible our players cant take that lets cut the size of the league to 18 teams and so it starts again....if you don't want to play at Christmas go manage in one of the other leagues in Europe or do what Nolan used to get sent off the week before then that Christmas sorted!
Pitifull!
How many 2 week breaks do they want in a season?Must have been 3 or 4 already due to the international breaks...Tell them to try a 60 hour week in the building game that"ll learn em!!;)
