I think the match commentator put it very well "this is how west ham have such a good record against the bigger clubs they up their game exactly what Watford are doing because they look on us as one of the big clubs and its a scalp to them ,"we were worse than poor today ,everything that could go wrong went wrong ,fact is it was bound to happen sooner or later what we must do now is put it behind us and learn from it ,that away record was unsustainable, all this defeat has done is bring us back down to earth the only people who will behappy tonight ,beside 's Warford fans are the motd team and big Sam
Shoddy
Today was a disgrace and how we missed Sakho but we were outmuscled , out thought and outplayed. It was if complacency had set in and we reverted to back and side passing and then losing ball and got like last year. I thought our squad was good enough to compensate for injuries but this cast doubts. It was rubbish of the lowest order. Well done Watford for rising to the challenge
Normal service has been
Normal service has been resumed ha ha. Just shows there is still a lot to work on and we can get better. Carroll for impact sub only. Having said that maybe we should have pushed cresswell into left mid as support for the way he plays. He can hit deep crosses all day
Just saw the motd highlights.
What was A.C doing leading up to their first goal-shocking!!Hes an impact sub & good in the air,but should never start & should defo never be allowed in our own half!!;) Their second goal wasnt much better either, tomks & ginge have been great of late but they were well off the pace yesterday...Hopefully a wake up call, need to vastly improve against the bogey side next week!
Yep. Well done Watford, they
Yep. Well done Watford, they deserved it and we deserved nothing. Get them all in at 7AM Sunday, extra training this week.
Wasn't good enough today but
Wasn't good enough today but done so well so far this season, wouldn't be west ham if we didn't get tripped up by lesser teams ,back to the drawing board,Love the fact Slav doesn't make excuses. He just basically says we were shite today
Some will disagree but
Carroll is actually our Plan B for me. You need two forwards closing down the play working across the park to stop teams playing from the back and forcing defenders to make mistakes under pressure. The old style of a quick forward playing off a target man is virtually non-existent these days, from what I see anyway? I hope I am proven wrong but I just don't see Carroll as a starter unless our wingers are getting wide, beating full backs and whipping in attacking balls into the box for Carroll. Sakho is such a good forward that is so suited to the PL for me, but we can't rely on one player hence the fact that we need strength in depth. Jelavic would have been a good buy 3 years ago but not now for me and Valencia isn't a PL player like Sakho, as he is too lightweight and predictable.
Don't forget Elton John
Don't forget Elton John burkie he'll be feeling orgasmic tonight, his chin will be hitting more balls than Beckham's right boot ;)
