Emerson the latest player being linked with a move to Juventus is the rumour and we could get £25/30 million for him well if it happens then Scarles has to be moved into the team with Cresswell to help with his development it is a win all round for the club and a boost for "The Academy".

Now i hear all the arguments back and forth about if they were good enough they would be playing and look at the players we let go who are now nowhere to be seen proof that they are not as good as made out.

Bournemouth had a 19 year old central defender starting and does not look out of place Arsenal started 18 year old at Left back in the champions league Liverpool have blooded quite a few and none have sunk out of sight and when you consider the pressure and demands playing for that club is quite a lot to deal with.

Unless tested you never will know if they can or cannot make it and would Cottee of got a chance in todays world? to small to be a striker would be the argument.

So whilst not every academy graduate is going to make it there are times when surely it is better to look within and try something different instead of a foreign or over the hill injury prone player who are costly and really provide us with nothing but hefty wages...and it has to be better than putting square pegs in round holes.

Again it was only for twenty minutes and we were under the cosh for the last ten for sure but Scarles did not buckle so maybe just maybe he deserves his chance and others to before we go wasting more money in an inflated transfer market.

The boy did well and certainly deserves to be on the bench and given more chances that is for sure because i have little doubt wearing the shirt means more to him than quite a few others we have in the squad.

Were playing second rate teams that you'd expect youngsters to do well against. We did it against Dynamo Zagreb and the kids looked ok. Then I remember the one match wonderkid that the org went raving about after one great game. Reece Oxford, the next Bobby Moore

I always thought that Dingana was very one sided. Great left foot, but in this league you need to be able to use the other peg. BTW, where’s Muamba?

All those youngsters you've all mentioned never made the grade anywhere ,cept the championship maybe.the players that count are the tried and trusted one's.

I don't know what Lewis Orford needs to do to get in the match day squad regularly? He could form a brilliant partnership with Soler. But El Loppo is a twat and doesn't see that view!!

In the cauldron of an away tie in the F.A. Cup in the new managers first game he was handed a start and he was brilliant and did not let anyone down... so again of Emerson wants outget the twenty odd million thats rumoured on offer from Juventus get his wages off the books and give this boy a run of games with Cresswell to guide him we have a developing young talent that has cost nothing..... and i have a feeling a few others from the Academy may now be seeing more than a glimmer of hope of making it into the first team as Potter takes a look at everything.

Me my Dad my Brothers coming out of Villa park on friday and a number of there fans were asking who is that young left back he is very good and they were impressed by him. I hope he continues his development and listens to the manager and senior pros and of course Nobes and not get his head turned by some greedy agent
