On Newsnow we're apparently linked with "Superstar" striker Adebayor and a deal is close to completion for the summer. So to whoever is sanctioning/persuing this deal here's my question. Are you (expletive) serious?
If this guy is not good enough for the Spuds first team then why on Earth is he considered good enough for us? He's 31, has no pace and is only marginaly an improvement on CC. With Sakho,Valencia and Carroll as our first choice strikers surely we should be targeting someone who can challenge these guys, not someone we can bring off the bench if things aren't going our way and hope he can do the impossible. I understand why we needed him in Jan, after all our other targets failed to materialise but surely we can target someone better in the summer. I'm loathe to see our owners giving Levy the parasite money for this guy. This smacks of another Big Sam target. Approaching end of his career and can maybe do a job. Sounds like Nolan and Sam's CV's!!!
Funny how some are saying Tevex at 31 can't do a job for us yet our visionary manager sees this guy as the solution!
Pathetic
But who knows maybe we will all eat our words if they buy him.
Agree with you Moore2come I think Big Sam will be staying If this player is signed, because Big Sam has a thing for old washed up players I cannot see the chairmen who bought In Sakho going for him.
At best Adebayor will get 10 goals a season at best.
Hopefully just paper talk
Hes over the hill & a sulk....

I wouldn't have no dealings
I wouldn't have no dealings with sleazy leavy and his shite club,i would go all out for charlie austin if Raisins go down
One step forward, 2 steps
One step forward, 2 steps back!
If this proves to be true, and it's likely considering we tried to get him in January then I'll be very disappointed, I can't understand this constant pursuit of big target men considering we have the capability to play like we did early in the season with Sakho and Valencia type players, it's also a reminder to the people that are expecting great things when we move to the OS, I reckon we're going to be dishing up more of the same just on a different pitch
I think, when he is on form,
I think, when he is on form, he is a considerable improvement on CC. trouble is when he goes to new clubs his starting form only lasts a few weeks before he begins to act like a big time Charlie, and ends up being dropped and only used as a sub. So at 3 or 4 times what we pay Cole, it's a big no no for me. Hopefully it's just more bullsh1t rumours.
Waste of money
Big time
Think I have read Burkie
That he is a free agent come the end of season so Levy would have no say in it .
he can stay a free agent as
he can stay a free agent as far as im concerned blackie
A big No from me ,we might as
A big No from me ,we might as well keep Miaga.lol.
A big no
from me also, we need an attacking midfield not another striker.
If Burnley go down
How about Ings? I think he would link up well with Sakho.
Ings
Would like Ings but a lot of interest for him from other clubs if they go down. Adebayor is friendly with Song so wonder if there is a friendly culture growing to cement them both in the squad. Not for me. Don't want either as both lazy buggers.
Surely NOT ? This must be a
Surely NOT ? This must be a windup?
Forget Adebayor let's sign this striker

Only plays well
When he's on the look out for a new contract/move, scores a few goals then makes excuses to go AWOL!
I ( expletive ) agree with
I ( expletive ) agree with everything you say moore2come. If Adeboyer is the striker that's on the radar for the summer well it's bad forward thinking, excuse the pun. I would rather pay more money for a striker that's going to last for three to four years. Who wants Spurs cast-offs anyway.
