Hi all, two days to go to kick off, is anybody going? What team will we put out? Is Andy fit to start? Do we give the youngsters a run out? Which of the new signings will play? Surely we can't lose this one. Thoughts.

Most of the 'first team' only started light training Monday, and some aren't even back from holiday if they have been on international duty. Don't expect Carroll to be fit for a few weeks.

Think it will be a mix of the players that didn't get much game time towards the end of the season, and a few youngsters. Probably, Spiegel, Sakho, Amalfitano, Obrien, Tomkins, Jarvis and maybe Zarate; along with Poyet, Burke, Cullen, Lee and maybe Reece Oxford...

Yes Bully, that's a nice blend of youth and experience and a chance for some of them to put down markers the the upcoming season.

I think Terry Westley is on the bench, because he has been working with the players likely to be involved. But think Bilic is meant to be flying in for the game, will probably be up with the owners. Don't know if they will give him the big intro to the crowd...

I think he will be starting the game. Some people have said he looks a bit chubby, but others think that he's just built that way. We will see if he can last the 90 minutes.
