My first post on here, so just wanted to know opinions on this guy. We spent £7 million on him and so far he hasn't really had a sniff. I think he should have played last weekend against Norwich and given Lanzini a 'rest'. He ripped them apart last season and they would have been worried to see his name on the teamsheet, knowing his pace and physical power. I'd like Slav to start him against the Mackems on Saturday, but don't believe he will change the team.

Like it-Headless chicken run!!Funny you should mention this,i was thinking the same, the new guy antonio hasnt had much of a sniff. Now i know there is a lot of competition for places, but id like to see a bit more of him to at least see what hes capable of!Im hoping slav will give him more of a chance soon...

Welcome along mate. I don't know much about Antonio so I might be doing him an injustice but from the bits I've seen he looks to be all about power and pace with less technical ability than the likes of Moses and Lanzini, for that reason I'm surprised Slav went for him, if indeed he did. I like Lanzini, I think we should sign him permanently, I think we've missed players like him and Payet that can go past players and create something out of nothing, Antonio for me would be a Pulis/ Allardyce type signing so it's a strange signing for me, hope when he gets his chance he proves me wrong though

Welcome mate! Yeah I thought he would play against Norwich. But we can't see how things are going in training. Moses seemed to tire and maybe Slav should've subbed him earlier, but with a full week off, you might be right that he will start again on Saturday, as will the other players who were a bit leggy. Antonio has potential to be destructive though, so will need game time soon -- maybe 30 mins against Sunderland...

I've been banging on about using our squad and felt Antonio was a nailed on start against Norwich after the midweek game, I only know what I've seen on you tube but he looks like a striker to me! Perfect if sakho gets injured. He was on form at forest so we need to give him some game time to maintain his confidence

agree more I was hoping he would start against Norwich but I think slavs easing him in and I think he will get a start this weekend...his pace will come in very handy as I expect sunderland to be flying into us desperate for an early goal and leaving space in behind and the slow pace of there defence then they will be ripe for the taking

I thought he may have come on for Lanzini but looks like they are being cautious?

do not know much about him even I, and I'm curious to see him play; but at the moment Moses is devastating, it's hard to take his place. Antonio will have certainly her chances
