Alan shearer gave us much praise on MOTD have his blinkers been taking off......I wonder if anyone will ask him and the others in the media how are we managing to do what we are doing without there best buddie bfs.......maybe the question they should ask is to the sunderland fans ...be careful what you wish for(they wanted bfs) and just look what is happening to them.
The thing about Samuel Allardyce is
He is not half as good as those beloved pundit buddy's on MOTD and the like build him up to be, Nor is he half as bad as many of us bitter Hammers fans who had to endure his footballing style think he is.
Think your way out there turk
Think your way out there turk ,his methods ,his team selection his stubbornness, im afraid the day of the old cloth cap English maneger is nearing its inevitable end ,maybe in the much lower divisions
Problem with sam
Is he thinks hes better than he is,he is just a mediocre manager imo.He did a job at westham which he received thanks for (albeit not everyone!!) & a kings ransom.Any half decent manager with the squad we had & backing from the chairmen would have had the same success as him...just a thought!
Pretty much spot on hammer,
Pretty much spot on hammer, he believes his own press! I agree with turkie, Burkie and hammer. Now that's an act! Can someone give me something to disagree with ugh
Im sure someone
Will disagree Red!Turkieburkie,Hammer & Red-Sounds like a dodgy solicitors...ill get me coat!
Hammer, turkie, Burkie,
Hammer, turkie, Burkie, hammer and red sounds so uncool that is cool! Or maybe I'm just a little bit too weird.
Me & you both!
Me & you both Red!!
I am no fan of Sam
But since he has gone I feel nothing against him he did a job that for three seasons did not ruin us as a club and kept us in the top league, his character was very annoying and arrogant and his style of footy terrible beyond belief, i too hated his insistence with up in the sky football when we had better players to do otherwise, but if the players listen and do there jobs 100% of what he asks he can be successful, if not very successful.
Think both Turk and burk are
Think both Turk and burk are right. Did a decent job for a time in the state we were in. The medicine was bitter to take and his attitude was arrogant and deluded but I'd say he has been left behind with his methods and now will only cut it at a lower lvl
Turk and Burk
Sounds like a double act , I think Burkie has got the short straw with the shortening of his nic though.
As his name is more unpleasant it can be first Burk and Turk.
No no Turk ,age before beauty
No no Turk ,age before beauty

Yeah I was gona put Turk and
Yeah I was gona put Turk and Burkie but thought it rolled off the tongue better. As for allardyce I always wanted him to take the sland job because I thought they would go down. Now that SAMs there?nstill see no reason to change my mind.im not sure he thinks he can save them either as he has already said if he doesn't think he can keep them up he will resign. So I'm expecting him to do that to save his " never been relegated status" and preserve his fictitious aura in the media
Would turkie and Burkie be
Would turkie and Burkie be better? Ha ha
Red Neck
Actually that could work.
I can just about see Sunderland escaping relegation.
That said, I wouldn't want Sam as manager in a million years. The difference between our football now and our football under him is like night and day.
I'm not so sure there. I
I'm not so sure there. I think both they and Villa do not enough enough quality in their squads to survive. Sure they have Defoe but he's not as prolific as he used to be and his two goals were against the bottom side. I think they'll get cut adrift over the next few weeks unless Sam does some outstanding transfer window business. Kevin Nolan anyone?
I hear what you're sayin.
Sam will be given some money to spend this month. And I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Kevin Nolan there. The big problem is tht Sunderland will have trouble attracting anyone halfway decent. But Kev could bring a bit of backbone to Sam's side. The real problem is that his legs have gone, so they'd be playing with even less attack than they have now. But you know Sam: respect the point and nick it on a set piece if possible. And perhaps Kev still has a few goals in him from set pieces. Who knows?
